    Abstract: The system and method for dynamic mode forming for a global positioning/global navigation system. The system having a controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) mounted on a platform; an antenna electronics subsystem configured for dynamically maximizing gain in the controlled reception pattern antenna; and a global positioning/global navigation receiver subsystem configured for null processing, wherein a state of the platform is used to modify a reference mode and a plurality of auxiliary modes for the controlled reception pattern antenna in real-time based on an apriori look up table (LUT) to dynamically maximize a gain of the controlled reception pattern antenna.

    Abstract: The system and method of a steering a moving object using a control plate-based control actuation system on the moving object. The control plate-based control actuation system having a control plate with at least four fin linkages for connecting at least four fins to the control plate; and three actuators configured to move the control plate to produce movement in two or more of the at least four fins. The system produces roll, pitch, and yaw moments for the moving object using three actuators acting on the control plate and thus moving two or more of the at least four fins all with no loss of performance as compared to systems with four actuators.

    Abstract: The system and method of using an ultra-short pulse mid and long wave infrared laser. The system is seeded with a 2 μm laser source having a pulse duration in the femtosecond range. The beam is stretched, to increase the pulse duration, and the beam is amplified, to increase an energy level of the laser beam. Both mid wave IR and long wave IR seed beams are first generated, and then amplified via one or more optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification stages. A compressor may be used to compress one or more of the output beams to achieve high peak power and controllable pulse duration in the output beams. The output beams may then be used to create atmospheric or material effects at km range.

    Abstract: One or more defined countermeasures are selected from a countermeasure library, populated with parameters, and applied against an unknown, ambiguous, or unresponsive imminent radar threat based on an analysis of a hostile RF waveform emitted by the radar threat. The analysis can include comparing static and/or dynamic features of the hostile RF waveform with features of known hostile RF waveforms. A parameter set associated with the selected defined countermeasure in the countermeasure library can be selected. Waveform features can be categorized and sub-categorized for comparison with the known hostile waveforms. A plurality of features can be detected and compared. The analysis can include correlating behavior patterns of a plurality of hostile RF waveforms emitted by the radar threat. A cognitive intelligence trained using a threat database and library of corresponding countermeasures can analyze the hostile RF waveform, select the defined countermeasure, and/or select or generate the parameters.

    Abstract: The system and method for super resolution processing at long standoff distances in real-time. The system collects a series of image frames and estimated the sift, rotation, and zoom parameters between each of the image frames. A matrix is generated and then an inversion is applied to the matrix to produce a super resolution image of an area of interest while mitigating the effect of any “bad” pixels on image quality. In some cases, the area of interest in user-defined and in some cases image chips are provided by tracking software. A fast steering mirror can be used to steer and/or dither the focal plane array.

    Abstract: A multi-axis rotary actuator includes a payload support configured to be rotatable about a first axis, a disk surrounding at least a portion of the payload support, and an elevation wheel rotatably coupled to the payload support.     Abstract: A system for transmitting optical communications includes a transmitter, a receiver, and a processor. The transmitter includes a light source driven by a driver circuit under control of a micro-controller to transmit an optical signal. The optical signal can be encoded by a frequency-modulated encoding scheme. The receiver includes an optical lens, an imaging sensor configured to receive the optical signal and a memory. The processor is configured to extract one or more frequencies from the optical signal for only those pixels that are changing and thus decreases an overall data rate for the system and allows for larger pixel arrays, thereby decreasing the accuracy requirements of any pointing hardware and to reconstruct a waveform for each of the extracted frequencies.
