    摘要: A method for determining the time of flight, preferably the absolute time of flight, of an ultrasound signal in a flowing medium, includes using an ultrasound emitter to generate an ultrasound signal provided with a marker. The ultrasound signal is transmitted through the flowing medium to an ultrasound receiver, and the location of the marker is used in order to determine the time of flight of the ultrasound signal. The period duration of at least one selected period of the reception signal is measured to determine the location of the marker. An ultrasonic flow meter which can be operated according to the method is also provided.

The flying device performs flight movements to a prescribed target position of the meter. Radio signals are received by a reception device and information is ascertained, relating to the transmission quality of a radio channel, based on the received signals. A poor transmission quality, satisfaction of which is dependent on the quality of the information, results in the reception of received signals and the ascertainment of the information being repeated after a communication protocol for communication with the meter has been changed, a position of the flying device being altered and/or a directivity of the reception device is altered until the transmission quality or a termination condition is satisfied. Upon having a satisfactory quality condition, meter information is captured and a message for controlling the operation of the meter is sent to the meter.

    摘要: A method operates a measuring device used to determine a fluid variable. The measuring devices contains a vibration transducer driven to excite a wave in the fluid due to a test excitation signal. The wave is guided along a propagation path back to the vibration transducer or to an additional vibration transducer, thereby exciting the (additional) vibration transducer to vibrate. An output signal relating to this vibration is acquired, and a frequency of that segment of the output signal that lies in an analysis interval is determined. The analysis interval starts once the driving of the vibration transducer to excite the wave has finished, and/or once a maximum of the amplitude of the vibration is reached. The determination of the fluid variable is performed based on the determined frequency. An error message or a notification is output to a user and/or to a device external to the measuring device.
