    Abstract: Various embodiments of apparatus, systems and/or methods are described for providing cell reselection from a visiting PLMN to home PLMN in scenarios where the UE is camped to a visiting cell with an Equivalent HPLMN identity. The method may include cell reselection from one radio frequency broadcasting the Equivalent HPLMN identity to another preferred radio frequency that broadcasts only the visiting PLMN identity by leveraging frequency selection priority, and subsequent cell reselection from the visiting PLMN identity with the visiting PLMN cell to the home PLMN identity with the home PLMN cell by using high priority home PLMN identity search. The method provides a means to allow the UE to quickly come back to home PLMN when entering home coverage, otherwise the UE would have to move out of the coverage of the Equivalent HPLMN identity from the border cells of the visiting PLMN by radio refrequency rescan and selection.

    Abstract: An approach for estimating Round Trip Time (RTT) such as used for estimating a location of mobile User Equipment (UE) devices, particularly adapted for Open Radio Access Networks (O-RANs) that disaggregate basestation functions into a Radio Unit (RU) and a Distributed Unit (DU) or Central Unit (CU). A Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) is transmitted by the RU according to schedule determined by the DU or CU. A Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) is returned by the UE to the DU or CU, with an estimate by the UE of its internal delay. The RU reports an estimate of the difference seen between a time of transmission of the PRS and time of reception of the SRS. The RTT is then estimated by subtracting the UE's internal delay from this difference. RTTs taken between the UE and two or more RU's may further determine a location of the UE.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, and non-transitory, machine-readable media for uniquely identifying user equipment with a wireless network may include one or a combination of the following. A cellular network core may include a user plane function (UPF). The UPF may collect and store subscription permanent identifier (SUPI) information and/or generic public subscription identifier (GPSI) information corresponding to user equipment (UE) having an IP address. In response to a request, the cellular network core may execute a conditional process based at least in part on the UPF using the SUPI information and/or the GPSI information as part of the conditional process to respond to the request. The request may be for GPSI information corresponding to the UE. An external IP address of the UE may be provided along with the request. Upon completion of the conditional process, the cellular network core may return the GPSI information corresponding to the UE.
