    摘要: A phase-locked loop (PLL) is provided, which includes a PLL reference input, a PLL output and a phase detection loop coupled between the PLL reference input and the PLL output. The phase detection loop has a loop filter node. A delay element is coupled within the phase detection loop and has a variable delay, which can be increased to a critical delay at which the phase detection loop becomes unstable. A demodulator is coupled to the loop filter node and is adapted to demodulate a modulated voltage on the loop filter node. The demodulator has a demodulated output, which is representative of a phase margin of the phase detection loop when the delay element has the critical delay.

The method utilizes an inert substrate and a counter electrode, both immersed in electroplating fluid. The steps of stripping and replating the reference electrode are periodically repeated to maintain the stability of the reference electrode voltage.

    摘要: A prophylactic device has a planar portion that is configured to cover the perineum of the user to prevent the exchange of bodily fluids between the user and a partner. The planar portion includes a pair of spaced integrally formed, adjustably positionable thigh bands located in spaced parallelism on either side of the planar portion. A leg opening is formed between each of the thigh bands and the planar portion to accommodate the legs of a user. The bands elastically shape to the user to prevent slippage of the planar portion from an overlying conformed relationship with the perineum of a user. The planar portion includes a pouch of generally circular cross-section throughout its length for insertion into a bodily orifice. A method for manufacturing the aforesaid prophylactic device includes the steps of providing a form with a base and a shaft of circular cross-section with its root connected to the base by sloping surfaces. The method further includes the step of dipping the form to cover the base and shaft with a single layer of elastic curable material and to form a thicker layer of the same material in the inner and outer recesses.

    摘要: Apparatus and techniques for predicting a storage address based on contents of a first program accessible register (PAR) specified in a first instruction, wherein the first PAR correlates with a target address specified by a second PAR in a second instruction. Information is speculatively fetched at the predicted storage address prior to execution of the second instruction. The first instruction is an advance correlating notification (ADVCN) instruction, the second instruction is an indirect branch instruction, and the information is a plurality of instructions beginning at the predicted storage address. The predicted storage address is a branch target address for the indirect branch instruction from which instructions are speculatively fetched. The prediction is based on contents of the first PAR specified in the ADVCN instruction. The contents of the first PAR correlate with a taken evaluation of the branch instruction.

    摘要: An automatic release system for a riser includes a guide funnel assembly that receives a shaft coupled to the riser. A pull-head is located inside at least a portion of the shaft and coupled to the shaft. The pull-head is coupled to a pulling mechanism. One or more spring-loaded dogs are mounted on the outside of the shaft. The dogs radially move in and out through one or more openings in the shaft aligned with the dogs and engage a groove on the pull-head when radially moved in through the openings. One or more stopper mechanisms are mounted on the outside of the shaft and aligned with the dogs. In a first position, the stopper mechanisms inhibit the dogs from disengaging from the groove in the pull-head. In a second position, the stopper mechanisms allow the dogs to disengage from the groove in the pull-head.
