    Abstract: A device and a method for diagnosing a failure of an inverter initial charging circuit are provided. The device for diagnosing a failure of an initial charging circuit is advantageous as follows: it is possible to detect whether a relay of the initial charging circuit is malfunctioning or not by using a photocoupler connected in parallel with an initial charging resistor of the initial charging circuit, on the basis that, if a current flows through the initial charging resistor in a relay-on state, the photocoupler is turned on; and it is possible to prevent component failure or burnout from occurring due to a high current flowing through the initial charging resistor in the case of a relay failure.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an air circuit breaker. The air circuit breaker according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a CT magnet unit. The CT magnet unit is provided in the air circuit breaker to cover a movable contact point exposed to the outside. A CT magnet is provided inside a case that forms the outer shape of the CT magnet unit. The CT magnet independently forms a sub magnetic field or forms a main magnetic field together with an extinguishing magnet provided in an arc extinguishing unit. Due to the magnetic field formed by the CT magnet, an arc that is generated receives the application of an electromagnetic force directed toward the arc extinguishing unit. Accordingly, the generated arc can be quickly moved and extinguished.

    Abstract: A sub-module is disclosed. A sub-module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a short-circuiting control part. The short-circuiting control part comprises a movable member slidably coupled to a frame on which capacitor assemblies are seated. A variable connector is coupled to the movable member. Moreover, a plurality of short-circuiting blocks are arranged on the frame while being spaced away from each other. When the movable member has slid, the variable connector comes into contact with one or more short-circuiting blocks adjacent to each other to be electrically conductive. The short-circuiting blocks are connected to the capacitor assemblies, respectively, to be electrically conductive. Therefore, a plurality of capacitor elements can be short-circuited simultaneously only by moving the movable member.

    Abstract: An arc extinguishing unit and an air circuit breaker comprising same are disclosed. An arc extinguishing unit, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises an extinguishing magnet unit that forms a magnetic field inside the arc extinguishing unit. Accordingly, a generated arc receives an electromagnetic force in the direction facing the exterior of the air circuit breaker, and thus can be rapidly moved and extinguished. The extinguishing magnet unit is accommodated in a magnet case. The magnet case can seal the extinguishing magnet unit. Therefore, the extinguishing magnet unit is not damaged by the generated arc.
