摘要: A system and method for providing management such as creation, manipulation, storage, control, and retrieval of digital content for a company on a global basis. Digital content is created and stored in, for example, the eXtensible Markup Language (XML) format using the relationship between component mapping information and content information comprising webpage components. The XML data is developed by defining page components, mapping the components on a page and indexing the page for future retrieval of the page. The data is then stored in a single database, as segments related to the page, for call-up by a user. The information architecture of the present invention provides for a separation of data from the presentation itself. Thus, the information architecture data content, not being tied to the presentation, may, for example, enable the database to support various foreign languages, formats and medias.

摘要: Disclosed is a scarified, whole, dried, infused, buoyant cranberry. Further a process for preparing the cranberry is disclosed. The process includes sizing individually quick frozen cranberries by collecting those that pass through a mesh screen with 16 millimeter openings and that are retained on a mesh screen with openings of 9 millimeters. The sized cranberries are then scarified and infused in an infusion solution having a Brix of from 40 to 80 at a temperature of from 29 to 44° C.±5° C. until the cranberries have a Brix of at least about 40. The cranberries are removed from the infusion solution and dried at a temperature of from 73 to 85° C. until they have a water activity level of from 0.25 to 0.6 and a buoyancy of at least 30%.

摘要: The present invention relates to use of inexpensive semi-refined kappa carrageenan as a seaweed polysaccharide in preparation of tough, biodegradable films exhibiting improved performance over films obtained from refined kappa carrageenan. The formulation requires no gelling salt and the only other essential components of the film are glycerol and water, the former being used as plasticizer as reported in the prior art. The films can be recycled and reprocessed if required. The performance of the films can be further enhanced by incorporating polyvinyl alcohol that lends toughness and clarity as also natural rubber latex that imparts greater elasticity and barrier properties. Films of optimum composition can be pulse heat sealed immediately after casting and used for preparation of soft capsules and pouches. It is possible to store solvents and oils in the pouches. In view of the more eco-friendly processing of semi-refined kappa carrageenan compared to refined kappa carrageenan, films made with the former would also effectively be “greener”.

摘要: A system and method for identifying a change in walking speed of a person is provided. The system comprises a plurality of sensors disposed in various rooms of a structure. The sensors are operable to provide a signal representative of motion and/or the location of the person within the structure. The system may also include a processor-based system that may receive signals representative of the motion and/or location of the person from the sensors. The processor-based system may establish a travel time for a path traveled by the person through the structure based on the signals representative of the motion and/or location of the person and may store the travel time within the processor-based system. The processor-based system may identify at least one path traveled by the person through the structure from among various travel paths traveled by the person through the structure as having a consistent travel time over a period of time. The processor-based system also identifies a change in the person's walking speed by identifying changes in the travel time for the at least one path traveled by the person through the structure. The system may alert the person or a caregiver to inform them of the change in walking speed identified by the system.

摘要: A system and method for detecting a period of unusual inactivity of a person is provided. The system comprises a monitoring system, which is in communication with location and motion sensors. The monitoring system comprises a processor-based device programmed to develop a model of the person's periods of inactivity within a structure based on data received from the sensors. The processor-based device may also be programmed to determine if a current period of inactivity within the structure is a period of normal inactivity or a period of unusual inactivity based on the model of the person's periods of inactivity.
