Abstract:
A method of data transmission in a multimedia network. The network having a source coupled to a sink by a linking unit capable of supporting at least one virtual channel. The method receiving a plurality of source data streams in accordance with a native stream rate and packetizing each stream in accordance with its native rate into a stream of payloads, each associated with its respective source stream. Payloads from each source stream are inserted into a transfer unit such that each transfer unit contains one payload from each stream. A stream of transfer units are transmitted through a virtual channel of the linking unit, thereby transmitting more than one source stream in the same virtual channel.

Abstract:
A display device includes a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a matrix. A scan signal is made to flow into a gate signal line and a data signal is made to flow into a source signal line so that the data signal is applied to a source electrode and the scan signal is supplied to a gate electrode of a control TFT arranged at a portion where the both signal lines intersect when viewed from above. Thus, when the control TFT is turned ON, a drive TFT having a gate electrode connected to the drain electrode is turned ON, so that current is supplied from a power supply line via the source electrode and the drain electrode of the drive TFT to an organic EL element and the organic EL element emits light. A holding capacity is present between the control TFT and the drive TFT. Even when the scan signal becomes LOW level and the control TFT turns OFF, the gate potential of the drive TFT is held for a predetermined period of time by the holding capacity and the organic EL element continues to emit light.
Abstract:
A method of coupling a multimedia source device to a multimedia sink device by providing a source device having a transmitter unit coupled thereto, providing sink device having a receiver unit coupled thereto, receiving a source data stream in accordance with a native stream rate by the transmitter unit, coupling the transmitter unit and the receiver unit by way of a linking unit, forming a multimedia data packet stream formed of a number of multimedia data packets and generating a transport schedule for transferring the multimedia data packet stream in accordance with a link rate between the transmitter unit and the receiver unit wherein the multimedia data.
Abstract:
Various methods, systems, and apparatus for implementing aspects of latency control in display devices are disclosed. According to aspects of the disclosed invention, a source device commands a display device to minimize the delay between the time that image data enters the display device and the time that it is shown on the display device. In one embodiment, the source device transmits data to the display device that specifies whether the display device should time optimize the image data, such as by transmitting a data packet for this purpose either with the image data or on an auxiliary communication link. In another embodiment, the source device and the display device are coupled via an interconnect that comprises multi-stream capabilities, and each stream is associated with a particular degree of latency optimization.
Abstract:
The present invention provide a method for call establishment over a packet exchange network which is capable of saving the time required for a call establishment of the PPP by reducing redundant steps for authentication in a SIP call, and to reduce the incoming data amount. The present invention comprising the following steps. Step (a): The TE requests the PDSN for CHAP authentication. This message is received by the AT on behalf of the PDSN. Step (b): The AT requests the TE for the CHAP authentication on behalf of the PDSN, and the maximum packet size MRU receivable by the PTSN is transmitted to the TE. Step (c): The AT accepts the CHAP authentication on behalf of the PDSN. Step (d): The TE accepts the CHAP authentication and the MRU of the PDSN. This message is also received by the AT on behalf of the PDSN.
Abstract:
In a digital display device, a packet based method of driving selected pixel elements by way of associated data latches included in a column driver is disclosed. For each frame lines in a video frame, a number of video data packets are provided directly to the column driver at a link rate and each of the number of data latches are populated with appropriate video data based upon video data packets within a line period τ. Selected pixel elements are driven based upon the video data.
Abstract:
A plurality of signal wires of a liquid crystal display apparatus are constituted by a plurality N of switching wires (SW1-SW3) and a plurality P of driving wires (L1-L4). The driving wires (L1-L4) are connected to P respective ones (e.g., ta1-ta4) of the plurality of signal input terminals via P switching elements (tr1-tr4). The N switching wires (SW1-SW3) are connected to the input terminals (gate electrodes) of the P switching elements connected to the respective different driving wires (L1-L4). Signals from an external control circuit (not shown) are used to control the switching elements via a driving circuit, while driving signals are supplied to the P driving wires. In this way, there is provided a liquid crystal display apparatus wherein some of the signal wires are driven in a time division manner so as to reduce the number of signal wires and wherein a part of the peripheral area of the board where the signal wires are formed is reduced in size so as to reduce the wire resistances of common wires and also reduce the size of the peripheral area.
