Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods for preparing non-dripping flame retarding masterbatches and filamentous non-dripping flame retarding materials. First, an admixture including a flame retardant, a crosslinking agent, a thermoplastic polymer, and a dispersing agent is prepared, and then a crosslinking initiator is added into the admixture to form a composition which is then compounded and pelletized to obtain the non-dripping flame retarding masterbatch. The resultant non-dripping flame retarding masterbatch is suitable for use in a spinning process to obtain filamentous non-dripping flame retarding materials.
Abstract:
A cutter assembly for an electric pencil sharpener has a cutter bracket and a cutter. The cutter bracket has a pencil sharpening hole and an engaging structure. The pencil sharpening hole is defined in the cutter bracket for a pencil to be inserted into the pencil sharpening hole. The engaging structure is formed on the cutter bracket to engage a rotating frame in the electric pencil sharpener. The cutter is mounted rotatably on the cutter bracket. Accordingly, the cutter assembly is replaceable for the electric pencil sharpener when the cutter of the cutter assembly is damaged or worn.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a thermoplastic cellulosic composition for preparing a cellulose-based masterbatch and/or a fiber with an improved breaking elongation. In one example, the thermoplastic cellulosic composition includes an esterified cellulose present in a range of about 77 wt % to about 95 wt %, polyethylene glycol present in a range of about 4.5 wt % to about 15 wt %, a bifunctional reactant present in a range of about 0.01 wt % to about 3 wt %, an initiator present in a range of about 0.01 wt % to about 0.15 wt %, and a dispersing agent present in a range of about 0.01 wt % to about 5 wt %.
Abstract:
Amphoteric polymer composite nanoparticles are added into the polymer grains of synthetic fibers. The synthetic fibers are woven to form a textile capable of adjusting pH value.

A long-term no-watering flowerpot includes a main body having a lower portion formed as a water groove. At least a water exit is bored in a circumferential wall of the main body above the water groove. The water groove can store extra water. By means of capillarity, water in the water groove can be sucked up to moisturize the soil in the flowerpot for the plant to absorb. Thus watering cycle can be prolonged to save manpower and water resource.
Abstract:
A slider has an upper sliding element, a lower sliding element and a resilient tab. The upper sliding element has two protrusions laterally formed on and protruding from the upper sliding element. Each protrusion has an inclined pushing surface. The lower sliding element is combined with the upper sliding element and has a chamber and two through hole. The through holes are defined in the lower sliding element at positions corresponding respectively to the inclined pushing surfaces of the protrusions and communicate with the chamber. The resilient tab is held in the chamber and has two legs protruding inward from two ends of the resilient tab. Each leg has an engaging end extending out from one of the through holes in the lower sliding element and abutting with the inclined pushing surface of a corresponding one of the protrusions on the upper sliding element.
Abstract:
An exemplary portable electronic device includes: a main body, a camera module, a protecting cover, and a fill-in light emitting module. The camera module has a camera, and the camera module is disposed in the main body. The camera is exposed and positioned against an outer surface of the main body to take pictures. The fill-in light emitting module is fixed on the protecting cover. The protecting cover is movably connected to the main body adjacent to the camera for covering the camera or exposing the camera.
Abstract:
A system and method for override broadcast in a KVM (Keyboard, video monitor, mouse) system is provided. The KVM system includes a plurality of computers, a plurality of console devices and a KVM switch that connects those computers and console devices with or without network. With a firmware build in the KVM device, the administer of the KVM system can select one of the computers as the broadcaster computer and several of the console devices as the broadcastee console devices through the broadcaster console device. After receiving the broadcast command, the KVM disconnects the signal connections between the broadcastee console devices and the computers that the broadcastee console devices originally connected. The KVM then broadcasts the output signals of the broadcaster computer to the broadcastee console devices.
Abstract:
A latching mechanism (10) for a portable electronic device (30) includes a main body (12), a latching member (16), a resilient member (14), and an operating member (18). The main body has a shaft (124). The latching member is mounted to the shaft and is slidable relative to the shaft along an extending direction of the shaft. One end of the resilient member abuts the shaft and an opposite end of the resilient member abuts the latching member. The operating member is mounted to shaft, and the operating member is rotatable relative to the shaft thereby driving the latching member to slide relative to the shaft.
