A housing for an electronic device includes a metal substrate and a ceramic coating directly formed on at least portions of the substrate, the coated portions of the substrate having a rough surface. A method for fabricating the housing comprises roughening predetermined portions of the substrate; thermally spraying a ceramic coating on the roughened portions of the substrate, fixing the substrate on a tool having cold water circularly running there within during the thermal spraying; and grinding and polishing the ceramic coating.

There is provided a method for generating a user interface for enabling access to data on a server. The method comprises updating metadata in a metadata server, the metadata server being functionally connected to the server; processing the metadata on the metadata server; sending a request to the server to perform a task; and generating the user interface on a client device based on the processed metadata for enabling access to data on the server. The user interface may preferably be used to send the request to the server. The task being performed by the server may include, for example, browsing a collection of files, organizing files, selecting files, editing files, uploading files, downloading files and so forth.

Driving directions can be helpful if in addition to spatial information, landmark information is provided. Landmarks assist in adding context to directions as well as allowing for a greater likelihood of success of an operator following directions. There can be employment of physical identification of landmarks as well as processing regarding the utility of a landmark in regards to driving directions. Driving directions can be highly useful if integrated landmarks relate to knowledge possessed by an operator of a vehicle. Landmark based driving direction can be integrated with advertisements that relate to the directions.

A transistor, such as a FET or bipolar transistor, may be gate or base coupled to a laser driver output stage to receive a varying voltage from a driver output stage. The transistor converts the varying voltage to a varying current. The transistor, in series with the laser, may be coupled to a supply voltage on one side and ground on the other side. Thus, the current supplied to the laser diode is a function of the drive supplied to the transistor's base or gate.

The disclosure provides a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) power control method. A user equipment (UE) determines a power control parameter nHARQ for a PUCCH format 3 transmission and performs power control on the PUCCH format 3 based on the nHARQ. The disclosure also provides a PUCCH power control apparatus. According to the disclosure, for a TDD system, the power control parameter nHARQ for the PUCCH format 3 transmission may be determined, which efficiently solves the problem regarding power control when feedback is performed in PUCCH format 3.

A method for strengthening a housing comprises the following steps: providing a housing being made of colored glaze and having an initial temperature of about 480° C. to about 550° C.; and spraying the surface of the housing using a spray solution containing potassium nitrate, potassium silicate, diatomite, and water to create an exterior layer on the surface. The exterior layer contains K+ ions, and the concentration of the K+ ions gradually decreases from a maximum value in the area of the outside surface of the exterior layer to zero in the area of the inside of the housing.

A method and an apparatus for transmitting uplink transmission power control information are disclosed. The method includes: transmitting uplink transmission power control information of all uplink component carriers allocated to a user equipment (UE) to the UE by one downlink component carrier. By adopting the above technical scheme, it is implemented that the uplink transmission power control information is transmitted in a carrier aggregation system.
