    摘要: A system and method providing concurrent multimode communication through multimode signal multiplexing. Various aspects of the present invention may comprise, during a first time period, transmitting a first portion of a first communication in a first communication mode in a serial wireless transmission stream. During a second time period after the first time period, a first portion of a second communication may be transmitted in a second communication mode in the serial wireless transmission stream. Also, during a third time period after the second time period, a second portion of the first communication may be transmitted in the first communication mode in the serial wireless transmission stream. In an exemplary scenario, prior to communicating various communications, transmission time may be allocated between the first and second communication modes. In another exemplary scenario, transmission may be switched between a plurality of communication modes in response to detected communication conditions.

A variation in resistance of a quadrature network associated with the I component and Q component may be determined. The determined amplitude mismatch and the determined variation in the resistance of the quadrature network may be compensated by adjusting a resistance of a portion of the quadrature network associated with the I component and a resistance of a portion of the quadrature network associated with the Q component.

Aspects of the system may include a processor that enables computation of a value of a variable bias component of a bias current based on a bias slope value and an amplitude of an envelope input signal. The processor may enable computation of a value of the bias current based on the selected constant bias current component value and the variable bias current component value. A PA may enable generation of an output signal in response to a generated baseband signal by utilizing the bias current to amplify an amplifier input signal. The bias current may be generated based on the envelope input signal. A feedback signal may be generated based on the output signal, which may be used to predistort a subsequent baseband signal.

Each of M phase shifters coupled to each of the M receive antennas may be set to operate in a bypass mode or with an arbitrary phase setting. Corresponding signal strengths of M signals generated when each of the M phase-shifters is coupled to each of the M receive antennas may be measured, while at least a portion of the M receive antennas are turned off. Selecting one of the M generated signals for processing without the use of an antenna switch, based on the measured signal strength. A signal strength of each of the generated M amplified signals may be measured while turning off at least one of the plurality of M receive antennas and without the use of the phase-shifters.

    摘要: Aspects of a method and system for precise current matching in deep sub-micron technology may include adjusting a current mirror to compensate for MOSFET gate leakage currents by using feedback circuits. The feedback circuits may be implemented from active components to create active feedback circuits. If the reference current to be mirrored is noisy, a smoothing effect may be achieved by introducing a low-pass filter coupled to the current mirror design. The active feedback may comprise amplifiers, which may comprise one or more amplifier stages. The amplifier may amplify either a bias voltage error or a bias current error. Furthermore, a transimpedance amplifier may be utilized in the feedback loop. The output bias current of the current mirror may be stabilized dynamically during adjusting. Multiple current sources may be utilized in the current mirrors.

    摘要: Methods and systems for mitigating a voltage standing wave ratio in a transmitter are disclosed and may comprise calibrating an output power of a power amplifier integrated within a chip using a resistor that models an impedance of an antenna that is externally coupled to the amplifier while the antenna is decoupled. The gain and output power of the amplifier may be determined utilizing the known resistance and a voltage that is measured at an input of the power amplifier, or at a number of points prior to the power amplifier. When the antenna may be coupled to the transmitter, the transmitter output power may then be controlled utilizing the voltage measurements prior to the power amplifier to avoid measuring reflected waves in instances when the antenna impedance may vary. The power amplifier may be of a design that comprises reverse isolation to reduce reflected waves from the antenna.
