    摘要: A motion sensing process senses a mouse moving relative to a surface by taking a reference image and a sample image of the surface. The process shifts the reference image to neighboring pixel positions arranged in certain patterns and compares the sample image with the reference image at its original pixel position at the shifted pixel positions. A motion vector describing a displacement of the object with respect to the surface is generated from such comparisons. In one embodiment, the pattern includes the original pixel position and neighboring pixel position arranged five rows and five columns with the total number of the pixel positions less than twenty five. In another embodiment, the process selects one of four elongated patterns based on the orientation of a predicted motion vector. In yet another specific embodiment, the process selects one of eight directional patterns based on the direction of the predicted motion vector.

The baffle walls each includes a pair of blocking flanges fittingly received in cutouts defied in the fan to prevent the fan from moving horizontally along a lateral direction of the fan holder. The baffle walls engage with front and rear sides of the fan for preventing the fan from moving along a front-to-rear direction.

    摘要: A fiber-based tunable laser includes a spectrum-expansion device comprising a micro structured fiber configured to receive a pump laser pulse having a first band width and a first pulse energy, and to produce a spectrally expanded laser pulse having a second band width at least two times broader than the first band width. The fiber-based tunable laser also includes a combiner that can couple the pump laser pulse into the spectrum-expansion device and a filter that can select a signal laser wavelength within the second band width and to produce a signal laser pulse at the signal laser wavelength. The signal laser pulse has a third band width narrower than the second band width. One or more cavity fibers allow propagation of the spectrally expanded laser pulse and the signal laser pulse between the spectrum-expansion device and the filter.
