摘要: Hybrid location determination for wireless communication device. Various services that may be used by a wireless communication device within a particular location may be referred to as location based services (LBS). As such, means by which the location of a wireless communication device that may use such available services, within such a locale, is made by using more than one type of location determination approach. For example, a wireless communication device includes communication capability (e.g., RX and TX) in accordance with a first communication protocol (e.g., Bluetooth) and also includes a communication capability (e.g., RX only) in accordance with a second communication protocol (e.g., WiFi/WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network)). The RX capability is operative to assist in location determination for the wireless communication device based on knowledge of at least one wireless communication device that communicates with the wireless communication device.

摘要: A wireless device includes processing circuitry, a receiver section, a transmitter section, and an antenna. The processing circuitry determines a set of information signals of a RF Multiple Frequency Bands Multiple Standards (MFBMS) signal. The receiver section down-converts a portion of the RF MFBMS signal by one or more respective shift frequencies to produce a corresponding baseband/low Intermediate Frequency (BB/IF) information signal from which the processing circuitry extracts data. The transmitter section converts a respective BB/IF information signal received from the processing circuitry by a respective shift frequency to produce a corresponding RF information signal and a combiner that combines the RF information signals to form a RF MFBMS signal. The receiver section and the transmitter section include ADCs and/or DACs, respectively, that are adjustable based upon characteristics of the RF MFBMS signal, the BB/IF MFBMS signal, and/or based upon signals carried therein, e.g., modulation type, SNR requirements, etc.

摘要: A wireless device includes processing circuitry and a Radio Frequency (RF) receiver section. The processing circuitry determines a set of information signals for receipt that are carried by a RF Multiple Frequency Bands Multiple Standards (MFBMS) signal having a plurality of information signal frequency bands with first frequency band separation. The RF receiver section, for each information signal of the set of information signals, down-converts the RF MFBMS signal by a respective shift frequency to produce a respective baseband/low Intermediate Frequency (BB/IF) information signal and band pass filter the respective BB/IF information signal. The RF receiver section combines the BB/IF information signals corresponding to the set of information signals to form a BB/IF MFBMS signal having second frequency band separation of the information signals that differs from the first frequency band separation(s). The processing circuitry extracts data from the first and second information signals of the BB/IF MFBMS signal.

摘要: A method for determining attenuation of a transmit/receive switch for attenuating inbound RF signals begins by enabling the transmit/receive switch to provide a loop back configuration between a transmitter section and a receiver section of a radio frequency integrated circuit. When the transmit section provides a test RF signal to the receiver section the processing continues when the receiver section measures the signal strength of the test RF signal to produce a 1st signal strength. The processing continues by enabling receive attenuation mode of the transmit/receive switch. The processing continues when the transmit section provides another test RF signal to the receiver section via the transmit/receive switch in the receive attenuation mode to produce an attenuated test RF signal. The processing continues when the receive section measures the signal strength of the attenuated test RF signal to produce a 2nd signal strength. The processing continues when the 1st signal strength is compared with the 2nd signal strength to determine the attenuation of the transmit/receive switch.
