摘要: A sensor coil for discriminating a coin has an oval configuration in a section parallel to the side of a coin passing through a coin passage, with one end in the longitudinal direction of the oval configuration having a large radius of curvature and the other end having a small radius of curvature. The oval shaped sensor coil is able to accurately discriminate a genuine coin or coins from others having different diameters and different materials.

摘要: A thermal printer having a main shaft supporting a carriage mounted with printing mechanisms including a printing head and an ink ribbon peeling member for peeling an ink ribbon off the recording sheet as the carriage travels, and fixedly provided with sheet feeding rollers for feeding a recording sheet. The carriage is moved along the main shaft for printing operation to print information on the recording sheet on a line. Before beginning a new line, the carriage is returned to the starting position while the main shaft is rotated to feed the recording sheet. Thus, the main shaft functions as both a guide shaft for guiding the carriage and a sheet feeding shaft for feeding the recording sheet, and thereby the construction of the thermal printer is simplified and the number of the components is reduced.

摘要: A hopper type coin dispensing apparatus has a hopper for holding a supply of coins and a rotary disc for delivering the coins from the hopper one at a time and in desired quantities. The apparatus is particularly suitable for large coins, has a high dispensing efficiency, and is simple in construction. The apparatus according to the present invention prevents the rotary disc from joggling and thus eliminates any interference between a delivery knife and the engaging portions on the rotary disc and/or the coins delivered into an upper delivery zone. The apparatus prevents the inlet of the delivery chute from being blocked by the coins pushed upwardly by the powerful agitating action of an agitator.

摘要: A coin sorting device is disclosed having a coin sorting passage defined between a stationary side plate and a movable side plate openably connected at the upper side thereof to and spaced sidewardly from the stationary side plate, the coin sorting passage is provided with a track movable sidewardly to open the passage downwardly. There is at least one set of coin material detector coils including transmitting and receiving coils positioned in alignment with each other at the opposite sides of the coin sorting passage, respectively for detecting a load impedance of a coin running on the track. Both of the transmitting coils and the receiving coils are opposedly fixed in a stationary retainer fixed in predetermined position relative to the track. This track is adapted for retracting out of the coin sorting passage sidewardly to open the passage downwardly and is positioned in the predetermined position in the passage by a positioning device.

摘要: A method for measuring the metabolic utilization rate of oxygen in an internal organ or tissue, wherein a portion of the organ or tissue to be diagnosed is subjected to interruption of oxygen supply and then measured biospectroscopically. Reflection spectral characteristic variations per unit of time are measured. The measured information is converted into an electrical signal to indicate the metabolic rate.

摘要: A subject information obtaining apparatus and a subject information obtaining method are provided with which a resolution of a photoacoustic image can be improved even when an absorber arranged at a particular position with respect to a detector for photoacoustic waves is used. The subject information obtaining apparatus is configured to obtain an optical characteristic value distribution of a subject by using photoacoustic waves. A signal processing apparatus constituting this subject information obtaining apparatus executes generating a correction table on the basis of a variation quantity of a signal intensity related to a signal from an ultrasonic wave detector and processing a signal from a photoacoustic wave detector by using a value of the correction table.

摘要: A seat back of vehicle seat including: a seat back frame; a support wire element disposed in the seat back frame; a support plate attached to the support wire element such that an upper portion thereof projects upwardly from the support wire element; and a resilient reinforcing element provided to that upper portion of support wire element, thereby normally reinforcing such upper portion. The resilient reinforcing element has two upper end portions respectively slidably engaged with two brackets of the seat back frame and a main reinforcing portion which is resiliently extensible, while being resiliently deformable rearwardly of the seat back frame. Another resilient reinforcing element having a pair of reinforcing portions may be provided to a lower portion of the support wire element to normally reinforce such upper portion. Each of those two different reinforcing elements is resiliently deformable rearwardly by an excessive great load applied thereto.

摘要: Even in a situation in which an image of the back side of an object cannot be captured, the shape of the object can be generated with high accuracy. For individual images captured from the circumference of an object, projection regions projected in an area from the surface of projection in a projective space to a projective plane that is distant from the surface of projection by a predetermined length in a depth direction in a case where the object reflected in the individual images is projected to the projective space from viewpoint positions of the individual images are detected. A portion common to the individual detected projection regions is extracted.
