Abstract:
A failure determination system for determining failures of temperature sensors, which is capable of easily and accurately determining failures of the sensors in actual operating temperature ranges thereof, even when the ranges are different from each other. Temperatures detected by exhaust gas temperature sensors are stored as initial temperatures when the engine has stopped. Temperatures detected by the respective sensors after stoppage of the engine are made dimensionless based on the corresponding initial temperatures to thereby calculate dimensionless values. An estimated dimensionless value of a temperature to be detected when each sensor is normal is set in advance as an estimated normal value. Failures of the sensors are determined based on results of comparisons of the dimensionless values with the estimated normal value.
Abstract:
An input device which generates control information by moving an object to be detected, having an image capture section which captures an image of the object to be detected, a feature point extraction section which extracts a feature point of the image captured by the image capture section, a difference calculation section which calculates a difference between a reference position and a position of the feature point, and a control information output section which outputs the control information corresponding to the calculated difference.

Abstract:
A packaging bag contains a lens-fitted photo film unit in a pillow-type package. Optically transparent window sections are provided on front top and bottom portions of the packaging bag. And a belt-like shaped lightproof section is provided in a center portion of the window section. The window section is made translucent by printing a half-tone dot meshing with a white coating, so that the lens-fitted photo film unit is observable through the window section. The lightproof section is printed with a lightproof coating and covers the front of the taking lens. Opaque coating is printed on an opaque section, which is a portion except the window section and the lightproof section.
Abstract:
A processing section reserves a number of transfers for an isochronous packet which includes isochronous data in an transfer number reservation register TNREG. A DMAC1 reads that isochronous packet from SRAM, and the thus-read isochronous packet is transferred automatically to a BUS1 (IEEE 1394 or USB) side at each isochronous transfer cycle until the number of transfers reserved in TNREG reaches zero. An SRAM header area is divided into page K and page L areas, and registers TNREGK and TNREGL are provided for reserving a number of transfers for each of the page K and L areas. During a special reproduction, a data pointer is used to select a TS packet which includes an I picture, for automatic transfer to the BUS1 side.
Abstract:
A graphical user interface is disclosed which achieves an easy search for a desired item upon scrolling. A plurality of representation images individually representing different selection object items are displayed in an array along one direction of a display screen. A noticed representation image selected from among the representation images is displayed emphatically at a fixed position on the display screen, and explanation information of the noticed representation image is displayed in the proximity of the noticed representation image. If a scrolling information for the array of representation images is issued, then scrolling is executed such that explanation information also of the representation images other than the noticed representation image is displayed. Further, a bar display including a mark representing the position and the group of the noticed representation image in the array of representation images is displayed together.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a processing the processing can be applied without generating the deterioration of the sharpness when the puckering or spotting is removed from the face or neck of the portrait. To solve the above problem, an image signal expressing a color image is obtained, and the pixels forming the skin-color signal, are extracted from the pixels included in the image signal, and in the extracted pixels, on the pixels in which the spatial frequency is within a specific range, and a variation amount of the signal intensity is not larger than specific threshold value, the image processing to reduce a variation amount of the signal intensity, is applied.
Abstract:
A computer has a display device, a speaker device and an input device, and is capable of identifying problems concerning accessibility in web content displayed on the display device to a visually impaired user of the computer. The web content includes a plurality of structured objects. The computer also has text-to-speech capability such that the web content displayed on the display device is audibly read to the user. The user provides a specification operation input when he or she is uncomfortable with the audible reading. A reporter software module executing on the computer determines which one of the structured objects is causing the discomfort.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for determining a reading order of characters The method includes preparing a list of character information, which is character information extracted from image data by character recognition processing and preparing a list of line information, which is made up of a line box surrounding a set of characters which are continuously aligned in the same direction in image data and an alignment direction of characters in the line box. In response to a request for adding character information to the list of character information, extracting a line box containing a character region of the character to be added, obtaining all character information having the character region contained in the concerned line box from the list of character information and rearranging according to the position with respect to the alignment direction of characters corresponding to the line box to determine a new reading order of characters.
