摘要: Methods are provided in which a sterol-depleting agent such as β-cyclodextrin (βCD), is used to modulate signaling by a differentiation signaling protein such as Hedgehog protein or a BMP in vitro. As illustrated herein, the use of βCD in conjunction with Sonic Hedgehog N-terminal peptide (ShhN) causes substantially all of the cells in neural plate explants to differentiate as neurons, such as motor neurons. Also provided are cell therapy methods and screening methods that rely on the modulation of signaling of a differentiation signaling protein such as Hedgehog, by a sterol-depleting agent such as βCD.

摘要: A method for selling on-screen advertising based on the relative page percentage an advertisement consumes on a paginated page displayed on a user's display. The invention includes a payment model for on-screen advertising based on “eyeball space” and placement. In one embodiment, paginated adaptable pages with advertising panes are authored and adaptable advertisements are created to fit the advertising panes. Advertisements are then sold based in part on a percentage of on-screen display space they occupy.

摘要: An E-plane filter comprises a housing having a waveguide filter channel and a septum defining a plurality of couplers spaced apart along the length of the filter channel, thereby forming a resonator cavity between each adjacent coupler. The portion of the filter channel which accommodates the couplers and each resonator cavity is curved or otherwise changes direction in a plane transverse to the channel walls.

摘要: The present methods and systems provide spectrum management for enhancing upstream performance for cable networks. According to one embodiment, a method of enhancing upstream performance in a cable network includes the steps of measuring performance of an upstream channel at a first data signaling rate; determining whether the upstream channel supports a second data signaling rate based on the performance; and selectively transitioning to the second data signaling rate based on said determination. The second data signaling rate is a higher rate than the first data signaling rate.
