Abstract: Systems and methods for token secured routing and discovery in token secured routing are disclosed. An inbound routing table is maintained. A communication link is established with a second node via a first port. A discovery packet is sent to the second node via the first port. A token is generated for communication with the second node. A first inbound routing entry is added to the inbound routing table, wherein the first inbound routing entry maps the first token state to the second node.

Abstract: A winch assembly including a mount attachable to a vehicle, and a guide attached to the mount; including a winch having a drum for winding and unwinding a line, and a motor for driving the drum about a winding axis, wherein the drum has a helical groove for receiving the line as it is wound. A frame connects to the first and second end of the drum and is adapted to move relative to the guide so as to synchronize movement of the drum along the winding axis so that the line is aligned with the helical groove during winding and unwinding. A rod is attached to the frame and generally parallel to the winding axis, and passes through a hole in the guide, allowing the movement of the drum along the winding axis but preventing the frame from rotating about the winding axis is disclosed.

Abstract: A window covering in accordance with the invention includes a gearbox assembly comprising a controller incorporated into the gearbox, a motor incorporated into the gearbox, and an external sensor is provided to provide external inputs to the controller in the gearbox assembly. The external sensor may include a security sensor, a temperature sensor, a light sensor, an audio sensor, a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide detector, or a humidity sensor. The controller is further configured to relay sensor information to a remote HVAC system or security system.

Abstract: An apparatus and corresponding method are disclosed. The apparatus comprises an aeroponic growing container and a fog transportation system that moves nutrient-rich fog into the aeroponic growing container. The container may comprise one or more electrically grounded plants or one or more electrically grounded plant support structures that suspend one or more plants. The fog transportation system comprises an electrode that transfers an electrical charge to the nutrient-rich fog, such that the nutrient-rich fog is electrically attracted to the one or more plants. The method comprises providing an aeroponic growing container comprising one or more plant support structures that suspend one or more plants, electrically grounding the plant support structures, and transporting nutrient-rich fog into the container by means of a fog transportation system. The fog transportation system comprises an electrode that transfers an electrical charge to the fog, such that the fog is electrically attracted to the plants.

Abstract: The invention is a roofing underlayment for solar shingles that includes a water-impervious membrane adapted to be attached to a roof. The underlayment also includes a mechanical attachment member having a mechanical first portion embedded within the membrane and having a mechanical second portion extending above the membrane, wherein the mechanical second portion of the mechanical attachment member is configured to mechanically attach a solar shingle to the roof. The underlayment also includes an electrical conductor having an electrical first portion of which is embedded within the membrane, having an electrical second portion which is configured to electrically connect to a solar shingle, and having an electrical third portion which is configured to electrically connect to an electrical circuit. An air gap area is also provided that allows for air flow below the solar shingles. The air gap area comprises an area between a bottom surface of the solar shingles and a top surface of the membrane.

Abstract: A fairlead for use with a winch is disclosed. The fairlead includes: a device for detecting a speed at which a line is being spooled or unspooled from the winch, a first and second roller adapted to aid in spooling or unspooling a line, a fairlead motor for driving at least the first roller, and a controller connected to the fairlead motor. The controller is in communication with the device for detecting the speed. The controller is configured to direct the fairlead motor to drive at least the first roller at a speed that maintains tension on the line as it is unspooling or spooling. Alternatively, the device measures current drawn by the fairlead motor and the controller directs the fairlead motor to drive the rollers at a speed that maintains a target current draw.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, an apparatus for installing a window covering is disclosed. A rotational cam member is provided for extending a first piston on one side of a headrail and compressing a second piston on the opposite side of the headrail between a window casing. A lever arm is provided for rotating the rotational cam. Spacers are provided to adjust the compression of the apparatus, along with indicators indicating whether spacers need to be added or removed. Easy installation of a window covering headrail may be achieved as one arm is used to hold the headrail while the other hand is able to actuate the lever arm. Mounting brackets are provided for easy window covering removal after installation.
