    摘要: An image forming system which makes clear the point in time at which initial information transmission for all peripheral devices connected to an image forming apparatus serving as the main device is complete, even when the peripheral devices are attached in various combinations, to thereby reduce the time until it is possible for a user to start operation to the lowest level possible, and to reduce waiting time for powering on. The image forming system such as a copying machine includes at least one peripheral device which can be serially connected to a main body of the copying machine, and communication means for performing communication with the most upstream peripheral device of the peripheral devices. When turned on or reset, the image forming system displays functions of the peripheral devices on an operating unit based on initial information delivered from the peripheral devices. Also, upon receiving initial information and initial information transmission completion information from the most upstream peripheral device, the image forming system starts display of functions of the system on the operating unit based on the initial information received up until that time.

    摘要: A communication apparatus is connected to a terminal apparatus via a network and includes a memory that stores TIFF files, a generator that generates a list HTML file for a list page indicating a first list of TIFF files stored in the memory and a server that transmits the list HTML file generated by the generator to the terminal apparatus via the network so that the list page is displayed at the terminal apparatus. The server transmits, to the terminal apparatus via the network, when a user at the terminal apparatus selects, on the list page, one of the TIFF files of the first list, a move HTML file for a move page on which the user can choose a second list of TIFF files stored in the memory so that the move page is displayed at the terminal apparatus. The server receives, from the terminal apparatus via the network, when the user chooses the second list on the move page, a request for deleting the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and for adding the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list. A mover deletes the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and adds the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list when the server receives the request from the terminal apparatus.

    摘要: A communication apparatus is connected to a terminal apparatus via a network. The communication apparatus includes a detector that detects at least a part of the communication apparatus to obtain status information regarding the detected pair of the communication apparatus. A memory configured to store a homepage generated by a HTML file, the homepage including function information which indicates at least one function provided in the communication apparatus, and status information which indicates the detected status of a part of the communication apparatus. The detector generates a latest status information to be stored in the memory when a change in the status of the part of the communication apparatus occurs. A communicator is configured to transmit the homepage to the terminal apparatus when a request for the homepage is received from the terminal apparatus. The homepage is displayable at the terminal apparatus and simultaneously displays the communication which is further configured to transmit only the latest status information to update the status information of the homepage, when a request for only the status information is received from the terminal apparatus.
