Abstract:
An antenna or radiating element that is constructed of materials allowing for survivability of fire, high temperature, corrosive environments, or any combination of the aforementioned. Antennas are capable of operating for an extended period of time in a high temperature environment with the use of a radome having one or more surfaces covered in one or more of the following surface elements: a polyester film, a moldable plastic film, a boPET product, a ceramifiable silicone rubber material and a ceramic fiber wrap material. The surface elements can be used to construct a portion of the structural components of the antenna.
Abstract:
An intake manifold that allows air to flow through the intake manifold, engine, and exhaust from the engine, until the engine is cooled to a desired temperature.
Abstract:
A waste management system for associating a collected refuse bin with a corresponding user of that bin. The system comprises a GPS tracker unit on-board a collection vehicle for recording the GPS co-ordinates of each refuse bin during refuse collection therefrom by the collection vehicle. A central server is configured for communication with each of a plurality of collection vehicles so that the GPS co-ordinates of each refuse bin collected during a refuse collection may be communicated to the central server. The server is further configured to effect a datastore lookup for comparing the GPS co-ordinates of the collected refuse bins with pre-recorded geographical data of a plurality of users for associating each refuse bin to a corresponding user.
Abstract:
An apparatus to enable the flow of high speed gases through the apparatus, the apparatus including modifying a metal hose which can be a metal hose or a corrugated metal hose having an exterior braid and an interior liner. The improvement includes inserting a non-bendable flange insert into a leading edge of the metal pipe and combining that with a pipe having a tapered interior wall which is welded to the metal hose to facilitate the flow of gases to a level of Mach 1 without damaging the interior portions of the interior liner.
Abstract:
A customizable hand tool system is presented. The customizable hand tool system includes a blade which is connected to an inner frame. The inner frame extends a length between a first end and a second end and includes a front stop positioned adjacent the front end and a rear stop positioned adjacent the second end. A cover is positioned around the inner frame between the front stop and the rear stop. A label, which the user or owner can customize, is positioned between the inner frame and the cover. As the cover is transparent or translucent, the label is easily seen through the cover. In this way, presented is a customizable hand tool that prevents misplacement or theft of the hand tool.
Abstract:
A lip rolling machine for forming a lip on the rim of preformed containers such as cups, including a set of spaced apart tubular oven guide bars guiding a train of nested cups through an oven for preheating the rims thereof. One of the guide bars is driven to be rotated driven by a variable speed motor and a belt drive so as to maintain rotation of the train of cups while passing through the oven. One embodiment includes a fixed inner tube having an outer tube rotated on the inner but.
Abstract:
An upper receiver is provided for cooperatively engaging a lower receiver, wherein the lower receiver includes at least a trigger and a lower hammer. The upper receiver includes an upper sear movable in response to movement of the lower hammer, thereby permitting an upper hammer in the upper receiver to actuate a valve in the upper receiver and pass a motive gas to a firing chamber and thereby expel a projectile through a barrel of the upper receiver.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cost-effective and environmentally friendly polymeric defoamer formulation for use in various industrial applications that does not contain oil, EBS or free silicone.
Abstract:
An assembly for selectively exposing a firing chamber to a motive gas is provided by using a solenoid valve to expose selected portions of a tubular sliding valve to a lower pressure control gas. The tubular sliding valve includes a through passage for transfer of the projectile from a breech to the firing chamber. An on board controller can dictate actuation of the solenoid valve in accordance with a remaining pressure of the motive gas and user input.
Abstract:
A drive system for double toggle mechanisms used to move upper and lower platens with an electric servo motor-gear box drive shaft driving a crank arm arranged to drive a respective double toggle mechanism in turn connected to the platen. The drive shaft axis is located below the toggle mechanism link pivots and driven in a direction so that the motor acts to assist the double toggle mechanism in lifting the platen, reducing the servo motor peak load. The various components are arranged for symmetrical loading of the pivots concerning the toggle links to increase the evenness of the platen when being raised or lowered.
