摘要: A make and break inductive connector for transferring electrical energy, e.g. under water, by transformer action comprising two separable body parts (11) having mateable end faces (13). Each part has a cavity (15) extending into it from its end face and a magnetic pot core half (17) housed in the cavity so that the end of the pot core half is flush with the body part end face. Within an annular cavity (23) of each core half there is housed a toroidal electrical winding (25) and potting compound occupies the otherwise free space of the body part cavity, including the cavity in the pot core half, so as to enclose the winding completely and preclude direct contact between the winding and the pot core half.

摘要: An improved locker seat includes a pair of spaced-apart upstanding sidewalls having a pair of lateral edges. A generally horizontal seat is disposed between the lateral edges of the sidewalls. In a first mode, an air source is connected to an airway formed within the seat to create an airflow. The airflow from the air source creates a first temperature differential to cool the seat. In a second mode, an external or internal heat source provides heat to a top surface of the seat, creating a second temperature differential to heat the seat. The first and second temperature differential are distributed across the top surface of the seat. The seat is hinged to be movable about the hinge between an open and a closed position.

摘要: A radiotherapy system comprises a patient support, moveable along a translation axis, an imaging apparatus, comprising a first magnetic coil and a second magnetic coil, the first and second magnetic coils having a common central axis parallel to the translation axis, and being displaced from one another along the central axis to form a gap therebetween, the imaging apparatus being configured to obtain an image of a patient on the patient support, a source of radiation mounted on a chassis, the chassis being rotatable about the central axis and the source being adapted to emit a beam of radiation through the gap along a beam axis that intersects with the central axis, a multi-leaf collimator comprising a plurality of elongate leaves movable between at least a withdrawn position in which the leaf lies outside the beam, and an extended position in which the leaf projects across the beam, and a radiation detector mounted to the chassis opposite the source, the radiation detector having a plurality of detector elements aligned with the elongate leaves when projected onto an isocentric plane.

摘要: Radiotherapy apparatus comprises a source of radiation mounted on a chassis, the chassis being rotatable about a rotation axis and the source being adapted to emit a beam of radiation along a beam axis that intersects with the rotation axis; a patient support, moveable along a translation axis; a set of magnetic coils located on either side of the beam, for establishing a magnetic field at the point of intersection, spaced from that point along a first direction; the translation axis, the rotation axis, and the first direction being substantially parallel; and further comprising a multi-leaf collimator fixed in its orientation with respect to the source of radiation, the multi-leaf collimator comprising a plurality of elongate leaves disposed with their longitudinal directions substantially aligned with the first direction and movable in that direction between a withdrawn position in which the leaf lies outside the beam, an extended position in which the leaf projects across the beam and a plurality of intermediate positions therebetween.

摘要: An electronic brake controller for an electropneumatic brake system includes a housing; at least one brake operator mounted to said housing and whose position defines desired brake action; a display on said housing; a signal output on the housing; and a multiple position switch on the housing. A controller in said housing determines the position of the operator and the multiple position switch, provides one of operator position signal and desired brake action to the output and drives the display to display desired braking action as a function of the determined position of the operator for acceptable operator positions, and drives the display with a brake system variable and adjusts the variable as a function of the position of the multiple position switch for don't care operator positions.
