    摘要: A valve which is comprised of a body having an inlet passage and an outlet passage. The inlet passage intersects the outlet passage at an angle. The outlet passage has an annular shoulder. A plug is disposed within the outlet passage at the intersection of the inlet passage with the outlet passage. The plug has sides with openings thereby permitting fluids to flow the inlet passage into the outlet passage. The plug is telescopically movable in the outlet passage between a first position and a second position. In the first positon fluids flow from the inlet passage pass through the openings into the outlet passage. The openings in the plug becoming increasingly restricted as the plug moves toward the second position. In the second position the openings in the plug are totally obstructed by the outlet passage. The sides of the plug have an annular flange extending outwardly. The flange has a channel opening toward the outlet passage. A seal is disposed in the channel. When the plug is in the first position the seal means is sheltered from fluid flow within the channel. When the plug is in the second position the seal in the channel engages the annular shoulder.

    摘要: A transportable or hand carriable forced air dryer for boots, gloves and facepieces such as gas masks and other headpieces with attached drinking tubes. A pair of manifolds having spaced parallel tubes extend in opposite directions from a blower housing/plenum structure. Each manifold has plural spaced upstanding air discharge tubes. Each air discharge tube has attached thereto a form expander in looped form extending in spaced parallel arrangement and terminating beyond the air discharge to prevent air blockage by the article to be dried. One manifold is permanently connected and the other is quick connected and quick disconnected, without tools for field reassembly. For transport, the released manifold is inverted and nested on the permanently connected manifold for compact installation in a tote bag. The air discharge tubes are provided with a nipple sized and threaded to receive thereon a standard military canteen cap having a reduced size nipple thereon for connection to a drinking tube of a gas mask disposed for drying on an adjacent air discharge tube.

    摘要: A control network carries information between nodes in a control system. For example, in one aspect of the invention, a control network includes first and second nodes, each of which is associated with at least one device in a control system, such as a controller, actuator, sensor, or otherwise. The first node is configured to wirelessly transmit information for simultaneous, or substantially simultaneous, transfer to the second node over at least two pathways. Those pathways can be made up of one or more network segments that interconnect nodes in the control network. In some cases, at least one of the at least two pathways is through a third and/or further nodes. Further, the first node can employ different radio channels, e.g., using different frequencies from one another, over at least one of the at least two pathways to transmit information to the second node.

In one embodiment, the apparatus includes: a semiconductor switch adapted to receive input power from a DC power source, adapted to distribute power to a DC/DC module, and adapted to receive a control signal, a charge storage device in operative communication with the semiconductor switch and a return path associated with the DC power source, and a reverse current monitoring logic in operative communication with the semiconductor switch. In this embodiment, the reverse current monitoring logic is adapted to detect reverse current flowing in the semiconductor switch and, in response to detecting the reverse current, is adapted to open the semiconductor switch. Several embodiments of a method of distributing electrical power to a DC load are also provided.
