    摘要: Method and apparatus for the manufacture of cigarette filters containing particulate material. Filter material composed of cellulose acetate tow is fed in the axial direction through a gap defined between a first pair of rolls so that the transverse cross-section of the filter material is changed to a substantially oval shape. The filter material is then fed through another gap defined between a second pair of rolls so that the transverse cross-section of the filter material is further changed to a substantially heart shape and at the same time providing pockets at axially spaced positions. Particulate material is deposited in said pockets. The filter material is closed so that the deposited particulate material is positioned in the interior of the filter material and wrapped with wrapping sheets.

    摘要: Polymerization of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins using a catalyst comprising a titanium component obtained by copulverizing the starting titanium component of Ziegler catalysts and organoaluminum compound with a small amount of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins, and an organoaluminum component. The titanium catalyst component can be modified by subjecting the copulverized titanium component to a contact with an inert organic solvent or its mixture with a modifier (1) an oxygen-, sulphur-, phosphor-, nitrogen- or silicon- containing organic compound, (2) a combination of such an organic compound and an aluminum halide, (3) an organoaluminum compound or (4) a Lewis acid.

    摘要: Polymerization of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins is carried out with use of a catalyst comprising a modified titanium component obtained by pulverizing the starting titanium component of Ziegler solid catalysts and subjecting the resultant to a modification treatment through contact with an inert organic solvent or a mixture thereof with a modifier, and an organoaluminum component.The pulverized product of the starting titanium component is pulverized together with an organoaluminum compound and a small amount of ethylene or .alpha.-olefins thereby controlling the particle size distribution.

    摘要: An ECU controls the operation of an EPS actuator in order to periodically apply instantaneous motor torque to a steering system when assist continuation control is executed using a sensor signal (residual sensor signal) that is output by a sensor element in which an abnormality has not been detected, regardless of the application of an assist force. The ECU also detects an abnormality in the residual sensor signal based on whether the application of instantaneous motor torque is reflected in the residual sensor signal, which is the basis of the assist continuation control.
