Abstract:
The present invention relates to polyol esters that are particularly suitable for use as insulating oils in electrical equipment where an effective cooling action is required, such as electrical transformers. In particular the invention relates to esters of trimethylolpropane with monocarboxylic acids of nine and/or ten carbon atoms, wherein the monocarboxylic acids of nine and/or ten carbon atoms comprise 5-15 mol % of branched acids and 85-95 mol % of linear acids with respect to the total moles of the monocarboxylic acids.
Abstract:
A composition for a heat cycle system and a heat cycle system employing the composition are provided. The composition has favorable lubricating properties and contains a working fluid for heat cycle and a refrigerant oil. The working fluid contains an unsaturated fluorinated hydrocarbon compound having a specific structure. The working fluid has a low global warming potential and can replace R410A. The refrigerant oil has a breakdown voltage of at least 25 kV, a hydroxyl value of at most 0.1 mgKOH/g, and an aniline point of at least −100° C. and at most 0° C.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a liquid composition for electrical insulation including a dielectric fluid and an additive, the additive being dissolved in the dielectric fluid and having a 1st excitation energy which is lower than the 1st excitation energy of the dielectric fluid.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine used mainly to drive a generator and to improve the fuel economy thereof. The composition comprises (A) a base oil being a hydrocarbon base oil having a ratio (CA/CB) of the proportion of the component of 24 or fewer carbon atoms (CA) and the proportion of the component of 25 or more carbon atoms (CB) in the carbon number distribution obtained by gas chromatography distillation of 2.0 or higher, the composition having a ratio (Vs/Vk) of the 80° C. high-temperature high-shear (HTHS) viscosity (Vk) and the 150° C. HTHS viscosity (Vs) of 0.4 or higher and a 100° C. kinematic viscosity of 5.2 mm2/s or higher and 8 mm2/s or lower.
