摘要: A power transmission apparatus which can function as a torque limiter during an overload condition. A Belleville spring is provided for generating mutual frictional engagement in areas between a flange part integral to an inner holder member, a washer, arc shaped projections of a flange part of a hub and a washer. As a result, during a normal condition of a compressor, the rotating movement of the inner holder member located adjacent to the rotating movement source is transmitted via the frictional engagement mechanism to a hub and then to a rotating shaft. Contrary to this, during an overloaded condition, a slippage is generated in the area between the washer and the arc shaped projections of the flange part of the hub as a frictional engaging area of a lower coefficient of friction. This slippage causes the washer to sink into the recess of the hub, which causes the washer to be displaced in the direction of the axis of the rotating shaft, which causes the pressing force to be reduced in the Belleville spring, resulting in a free rotating movement of the flange part.

摘要: In an apparatus for processing an input video signal that includes a chrominance signal and a luminance signal, the luminance signal is frequency-modulated and the chrominance signal is subsampled, preferably by field-offset subsampling, whereupon, the subsampled chrominance signal is frequency-converted to a lower frequency band than the frequency band of the frequency-modulated luminance signal. The frequency-modulated luminance signal and the frequency-converted subsampled chrominance signal are then combined and the resulting combined signal is recorded on a recording medium such as a magnetic tape. During reproduction of the recorded signal, interpolation among frames is used to reconstruct the chrominance signal. Recording of the frequency-converted subsampled chrominance signal allows for space-efficient recording of the video signal while providing a reproduced chrominance signal that has a relatively wide bandwidth, thereby permitting improved color reproducibility.

摘要: Provided is a method for performing a burn-in test on an object under test in which a plurality of electrodes are provided in positions at different heights. The method comprising steps of: preparing an object under test in which an electrode in a higher position have a higher surface roughness among the plurality of electrodes; bringing a plurality of sheet-type probes into contact with the plurality of electrodes, respectively; and supplying an electric current with the plurality of electrodes through the plurality of sheet-type probes. By implementing the method, the sheet-type probes can be kept in stable contact with the electrodes because electrodes in a higher position have a higher surface roughness Ra than electrodes in a lower position. Consequently, stable and reliable burn-in test can be performed.

摘要: A thermally-assisted magnetic recording head is provided, in which the light-source output can be adjusted according to its variation by environmental influences and over time. The head comprises: a light source; a write head element provided in a element-integration surface; an optical system provided in the element-integration surface and configured to guide a light emitted from the light source to the vicinity of one end of the write head element; and a light detector for monitoring the light-source output, provided in the element-integration surface and comprising a light-receiving surface covering an area directly above at least a portion of the optical system. This light detector with such a light-receiving surface can detect a leakage light emitted from the optical system as a monitoring light. Therefore, feedback adjustment of the light-source output can be realized to stabilize the intensity of light for thermal-assist applied to a magnetic recording medium.
