    摘要: A compound isolated from Ervatamia microphylla has been found to be effective in inducing a change in cell morphology and growth habits of cultured transformant cell lines, and in reducing the tumor size in a living mammal. The compound is capable of inhibiting the function of oncogenes such as ras and src by inhibiting the function of the oncogene products. The compound is found to be represented by formula (I): ##STR1## Use of the compound as an oncogene function inhibitor, in a treatment of cancer, and in inducing changes in cell morphology and growth habits in transformant cell line are contemplated.

    摘要: A method of reproducing video signals from a magnetic recording medium like a magnetic tape for a VTR to obtain high-quality video pictures even when dropouts occur in the medium, which includes the steps of separating synchronizing information from the video signals reproduced from the magnetic recording medium, detecting a dropout duration from the reproduced video signals, generating complete synchronizing information during a whole period of writing the signals in image information memories by compensating lost synchronizing information during the dropout, generating write address signals on the basis of the generated synchronizing information, writing reproduced video signals the memories on the basis of the generated write address signals while no dropout occurs, and leaving unchanged previously written video signals while a dropout occurs. According to an apparatus implementing the above method, reproduced pictures of high quality are obtained without jitters and skews due to dropouts.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to a light controlling sheet for use with indicators which includes a louver element including an arbitrary pattern of walls which are parallel to each other and opaque so as to absorb light, and an electrically conductive film which is mounted on one surface of the louver element. This film is porous so that the light from a light source may penetrate. The oblique light strikes the opaque walls of the louver element and is absorbed in the walls, while the substantially parallel light is permitted to pass through the space or transparent portion betwee the walls. The electrically conductive film not only acts as a protective cover for the louver element but also shields unwanted electromagnetic wave.

    摘要: In a recording operation by a rotary head type PCM recording/reproducing apparatus including at least two magnetic heads, the odd-numbered sample data and the even-numbered sample data are discriminatively extracted and stored. The stored data corresponding to an amount of data outputted from the A/D converter within a predetermined time is selectively read out and supplied to the two heads to thereby record the data in such a manner that the odd-numbered data and the even-numbered data are recorded separately on a track basis or alternatively recorded separately on a preceding half and a succeeding half of each track. The error detecting and correcting code is prepared on the basis of the data to be recorded in each track. In reproduction of the recorded data, upon detection of a drop-out of the data from one of the two heads, the drop-out data is corrected through interpolation procedure to thereby reconstitute the original analog signal.
