    摘要: This invention relates to a synthesis method favorable for the industrial production of a benzoic acid derivative having a retinoid activity of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein the derivative can be obtained by a simple procedure in safety with high yield.Specifically, this invention relates to a synthesis method characterized in that only one vessel is needed for several reactions in the different steps of subjecting acetanilide as a starting material, which is readily available and safe to handle, to Friedel-Crafts reaction with 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-dichlorohexane; subjecting the thus obtained compound to acyl exchange reaction with monomethyl ester terephthalic chloride, followed by hydrolysis; and recrystallizing from a mixture of methanol and water.Moreover, the crystals in novel form obtained by the synthesis method of this invention are suitable for formulation, because the amount of solvents remaining therein after recrystallization is small and the grain size thereof is uniform.

Also provided is a first monitor unit for displaying the standard histogram read out from the histogram storage unit and a read conditions determination unit for determining actual read conditions of the X-ray image based on a latitude of the intensity of the X-ray in the standard histogram.

In the information storage device, a receiver unit senses a carrier of an RF signal at a first frequency for detection, in a first time period occurring at time intervals, and receives an information request signal in response to detection of a carrier of an RF signal at the first frequency, and senses a carrier of an RF signal at a second frequency in response to reception of the information request signal. In the storage device, a control causes the receiver unit to sense a carrier of an RF signal at the first frequency for detection, in a second time period after a sleep time period which is shorter than the time interval, in response to non-detection by the receiver unit of a carrier of an RF signal at the first frequency in the first time period.

    摘要: In an information access system, an active contactless information storage device senses a carrier of an RF signal at a first frequency in first predetermined periods occurring in a predetermined cycle and senses a carrier of an RF signal at a second frequency in second predetermined periods occurring in the predetermined cycle. When the storage device senses and detects a carrier of an RF signal at one of the first and second frequencies in a particular predetermined period, it receives further an ID request signal, and, in response to the ID request signal, transmits a response signal at a corresponding one of the third and fourth frequencies that carries an ID of the active contactless information storage device. This reduces possible interference between reader/writer devices for communicating with the information storage device.
