    Abstract: A vehicular window assembly includes a glass window panel and a display device. The display device includes a display element at the glass window panel and an electrical connector that extends from the display element for electrical connection to a wire harness of a vehicle. The display device is operable to backlight or illuminate at least one icon or alphanumeric character so that the at least one icon or alphanumeric character is viewable at the glass window panel by a person exterior the vehicle. With the window assembly mounted at a vehicle, the display device may be activated to backlight or illuminate the at least one icon or alphanumeric character to indicate at least one vehicle status, and may include indication responsive at least in part to determination that an in-cabin temperature of the vehicle is above a threshold level.

    Abstract: A method for making a slider window assembly for a vehicle includes providing at least one fixed window panel and a movable window panel. A perimeter seal is disposed at least at a surface of the fixed window panel and includes a continuous sealing element that circumscribes an opening of the fixed window panel and that is configured to seal against the movable window panel about a periphery of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is closed. The perimeter seal includes a sealing tab at a corner region of the perimeter seal where an upper sealing portion is joined with a first elongated side sealing portion. The sealing tab is established at an elongated sealing lip of the upper sealing portion or of the first elongated side sealing portion. The sealing tab extends from the elongated sealing lip toward the surface of the fixed window panel.

    Abstract: A slider window assembly for a vehicle includes a frame portion having upper and lower rails, at least one fixed window panel having an opening, and a movable window panel that is movable along the upper and lower rails between a closed position and an opened position. A sensing system is operable to determine when the movable window panel is in its closed position and when it is not in its closed position. The sensing system includes a magneto-responsive sensor disposed at the frame portion and a magnetic element disposed at the movable window panel. When the movable window panel is in its closed position, the sensor detects the proximity of the magnetic element. Responsive to the sensing system determining that the movable window panel is not in its closed position, an indicator is activated to alert the driver of the vehicle that the movable window panel is not closed.
