In a method and an associated device for generation of digital x-ray image exposures of an examination subject with an x-ray source and a digital x-ray detector for a stereotactic biopsy, wherein, for one or more x-ray image acquisitions of the examination subject with a biopsy device, acquisition and image processing parameters are used that have been determined from an x-ray image exposure of the examination subject without the biopsy device (7). The influences that are disruptive for an optimal x-ray image, for example of metallic biopsy devices, can thereby be avoided.

The cage support apparatus and method is provided for use by people bedridden or with wheel chairs, scooters, power chairs or any similar mobile device comprising an upper support, a base support and a plurality of vertical supports. The upper support comprises a lengthened side support, a rear support, and a side support. The base support comprises a lengthened side support, a rear support, and a side support, and a plurality of vertical supports. The plurality of vertical supports comprises a first end vertical support, a second end vertical support, a first corner support, a second corner support, and an intermediate vertical support. The upper support and the base support are fixedly connected by the plurality of vertical supports, and particularly, the lengthened side support is held by the first end support, the first corner support and an intermediate vertical support, the rear support is held by the first corner support, the second corner support and the intermediate vertical support. The side support is held by the second corner support and the second end vertical support. The first end support, the first corner support and an intermediate vertical support are buttressed by the lengthened side base member, the first corner support, the second corner support and the intermediate vertical support are buttressed by the rear base member, and the second corner support and the second end vertical support are buttressed by the side base member. The cage support apparatus may further comprise a toilet placed so as to be bounded by the upper support and base support. A brimonidine (5-bromo-6-(2-imidazolidinylideneamino)quinoxaline) pamoate polymorph exhibits characteristics disclosed herein. The brimonidine pamoate polymorph is included in a composition, device, or implant for use in the treatment or control of elevated intraocular pressure or in the neuroprotection of components of a neurological tissue to prevent progressive degeneration of such components. In particular, such a composition, device, or implant can be used to provide neuroprotection to cells and components of the optic nerve system.

In a method for producing a stereotactic image of a patient fixed in a mammography device for a biopsy, a computerized control and evaluation unit waits for a start signal to be given by an operator, and after receipt of the start signal, automatically implements the following steps. An x-ray apparatus of the mammography device is positioned in a first predetermined imaging position, and a first image of the patient is acquired with the x-ray apparatus in this position. The x-ray apparatus is then pivoted into a second imaging position, different from the first, and a second image of the patient is acquired at the second position. The first and second images are acquired to form a stereotactic image of the patient.

The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CV678981, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CV678981 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to corn seeds and plants produced by crossing plants of variety CV678981 with plants of another variety, such as another inbred line. The invention further relates to the inbred and hybrid genetic complements of plants of variety CV678981.

The invention provides allergen containing pharmaceutical products and in particular fast-dispersing solid allergen dosage forms. In particular, fast-dispersing, non-compressed solid dosage forms suitable for oromucosal administration comprising a matrix and at least one allergen are provided. Suitable matrices are gelatine, starch and mannitol. Methods for the dosage forms are also provided.

An apparatus for improving the security and connectivity of secured items. Embodiments provide an apparatus for securing items that comprises at least one interface for coupling the secured item to an external system, external device, external component, etc. The item may be coupled to the interface before placing the apparatus in a secured state, where a portion of the interface accessible from the outside of the apparatus provides electrical access to the item when in the secured state. Additionally, embodiments provide movement detection and alert mechanisms to enable the apparatus to detect movement thereof and generate an alert, thereby deterring theft of and/or tampering with the secured item.

A processing system wherein a bitmap array is first used to obtain an index. The index is used to obtain a value from an array. A predefined default value is used to improve compression and speed in cases where a single default value is often encountered. In this embodiment the size of each entry in the bitmap array is one bit. In another approach, a bitmap array having two bit entries is provided. The use of two bits allows four different entry values. Two values are used to indicate two different default values. A third value is used for a “repeat” indicator to when the last-used next-state value should be re-used. The fourth value is used to indicate indexing into a pointer table, similarly to the embodiment using single-bit entries in the bitmap array.
