摘要: A data management system (100) including a knowledge container creator module (118) operative to create at least a first data descriptor item (112) and at least a second data descriptor item (114) based upon a raw data item (110). The raw data item (110) is capable of containing data representing raw data that is in one of a plurality of different formats. The knowledge container creator module (118) also operative to link the raw data item (110) to at the least a first data descriptor item (112) and to link the raw data item (110) to the at least a second data descriptor item (114).

摘要: A communications network simultaneously transmits a single message to a number of recipients. This is called a "multicast" transmission. The communications network should have a recipient list database (1302) to receive a list of recipient addresses, a message database (1304) to receive and store the message, and a message delivery system (1306) to send the message to a number of recipients. The communications network may be adapted to collect acknowledgements or responses to a multicast message. If so, the communications network should have a calling record (1308) for storing message delivery information, a response record (1310) for receiving and storing recipient response information, a response processor (1312) for processing the response information, and a response delivery system (1314) for delivering the processed response. The multicast capability may be integrated with other communications network services, such as Personal Location Service, Personal Communications Internetworking, call blocking, etc.

摘要: A casing of a trunk piston internal combustion engine has a cylinder hed, cylinder head cover, cylinder block and oil sump regions and bearing devices for the crankshaft and camshaft. The casing is manufactured from parts which are as simple to manufacture as possible and can be connected together with little effort. For this purpose, the cylinder block, together with a part of the cylinder head closing the respective individual cylinder spaces at the combustion space end, is configured as a common engine block casting with hollow spaces manufactured without the use of lost cores and open in the direction of the cylinder axis at one of the two ends of at least. The hollow spaces are closed by parts welded onto both ends to create a closed continuous water cooling jacket.

摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for extracting electrical and mechanical energy from stored magnetic energy. The apparatus includes an axial flow turbine defined by a body having an increased magnetic density from a first exterior edge along a surface of the body to a second exterior edge. Also included is a magnetic element rotatably operable about the body of the axial flow turbine. The magnetic element is configured to cause increasingly level of the magnetic attraction from the first exterior edge to that of the second exterior edge.

摘要: A method and a hearing system for adaptively matching microphones (3, 4) of a hearing system. The method comprising the steps of determining a true direction towards a sound source, determining an estimated direction towards the sound source using microphones (3, 4) of the hearing system, comparing the true direction with the estimated direction to obtain a correction factor, applying the correction factor to the signals of the microphones (3, 4) of the hearing system in order to reduce a difference between the true direction and a corrected estimated direction obtained via corrected microphone signals.

摘要: In accordance with the present invention, a system, method, and computer-readable medium for aggregating the knowledge base of a plurality of security services or other event collection systems to protect a computer from malware is provided. One aspect of the present invention is a method that proactively protects a computer from malware by using anti-malware services or other event collection systems to observe suspicious events that are potentially indicative of malware; determining if the suspicious events satisfy a predetermined threshold; and if the suspicious events satisfy the predetermined threshold, implementing a restrictive security policy designed to prevent the spread of malware.
