摘要: A communication between a terminal connected to the Internet, like a household terminal, and a server can be performed by simple processing at any time after security is ensured. In a case where control of a particular terminal connected to a predetermined network is performed from the server, when there is a predetermined processing request at the particular terminal from the server or an external terminal connected to the server, a callback request is sent to the server or the particular terminal. At the particular terminal receiving the callback request, a callback request response is made to the server by a predetermined communication method in which security is ensured, and instructions for performing predetermined processing by the predetermined communication method are sent, as a response from the server with respect to the callback request response, to the particular terminal.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an organic film comprises dipping and holding a substrate having an active hydrogen atom on its surface in a metallic compound having an electrophilic property or solution of the metallic compound and washing the substrate with a nonaqueous solvent, thereby manufacturing a metallic monomolecular film on the substrate surface, or dipping and holding a substrate having an organic monomolecular film in organic compound or acid anhydride of organic compound or solution dissolving the organic solution, thereby, manufacturing an organic monomolecular film on a metallic compound monomolecular film. According to the method of manufacturing an organic film above mentioned, unlike the Langmuir-Blodgett technique, a complicated operation is not required and contamination of impurity to inside of film is avoided. As a result, a film having a complicated structure can be manufactured on a substrate simply.

摘要: An image forming apparatus and method charges and exposes a latent image carrier to form a latent image. Bias is applied to liquid developer on a developer carrier, and liquid developer collected by a developer carrier cleaning member is stored in a collected developer storing portion. The state of the collected liquid developer is determined based on a state of bias application or detected image data, and a stirring amount of a conveying member that stirs the collected liquid developer is controlled based on the determined state to improve a property of the collected liquid developer conveyed to a storing unit.

摘要: A liquid developer transport device includes a channel switching part that dispenses liquid developer to a first channel or a second channel. A filtering part filters liquid developer flowing in the first channel, and a first storage part stores the filter liquid developer. A second storage part stores liquid developer flowing in the second channel. The channel switching part switches channels when a toner particle concentration is more than a predetermined concentration.

摘要: A rotary developer for an image forming apparatus. Development cartridges accommodated in a rotary unit at a predetermined set position are selectively moved between development and non-development positions. A self-attachment locking mechanism including a pre-pressure applying mechanism self-locks a development cartridge at the predetermined set position when the development cartridge is inserted by a predetermined insertion amount that does not reach the predetermined set position. The pre-pressure applying mechanism includes a pressing member on one of the rotary unit and development cartridge and a pressed member on the other of the rotary unit and development cartridge. The pressed member includes gently sloped and steeply sloped surfaces. When the development cartridge is inserted by the predetermined insertion amount, the pressing portion transitions from contact with the gently sloped surface to contact with the steeply sloped surface.

摘要: An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) solution is introduced into a tower vessel (1) from a first inlet (2) provided at an upper portion of the tower vessel (1). Water vapor is introduced into the tower vessel (1) from a second inlet (3) provided at a lower portion of the vessel (1). The EVOH solution moves downward in the vessel (1), while the water vapor moves upward. The EVOH solution is kept in counter-flow contact with the water vapor. Water is supplied from a water supplying portion (5) located between the first inlet (2) and a tower top (4), whereby a water layer is formed above the first inlet (2). A water/methanol vapor mixture is extracted from the tower top (4) and condensed in a condenser (6) to be thereby recovered in the form of a methanol aqueous solution. Droplets of the EVOH solution contained in the water/methanol vapor mixture are trapped in the water layer formed above the first inlet (2) and, therefore, are less liable to be introduced into the condenser (6). This suppresses extraction of the droplets of the EVOH solution together with the vapor to the outside of the tower vessel (1) during replacement of the EVOH solution with water in the tower vessel (1).

摘要: The present invention is intended to eliminate any leakage of light which would occur, while in a black display state, due to a disordered alignment of liquid crystals around a pixel electrode in a liquid crystal device and to provide an improved contrast. The leakage of light around pixels can be suppressed and the contrast can be improved, for example, by rubbing the surface in a direction at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to any of the edges of a square pixel electrode 25 (a direction shown by the arrow 30) in a homeotropic type liquid crystal device.
