摘要: Some embodiments of the invention provide an implementation for a multi-hop wireless backhaul network. These embodiments can advantageously be deployed in dense urban areas and/or co-located with wireless access nodes, such as base-stations of a cellular wireless communication system. Preferably wireless links between constituent network nodes are set-up hierarchically. A basic result of this is that peer-to-peer (child-to-child) communication is generally prohibited and circuits are forced to conform to a topology. The multi-hop wireless backhaul network may be used to carry delay sensitive, high-density last mile circuit traffic over Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) broadband radio links. Moreover, some embodiments of the invention provide a method of path-healing for re-routing of circuit traffic from circuits that have experienced catastrophic failures.

摘要: The present application provides a method for routing traffic from a user equipment (UE) to a service available on a network. In the method, a virtual router entity that services a virtual network available on the network receives a packet from the UE, the received packet including at least a destination ID and payload. The virtual router then forwards a location resolution request including the received destination ID to an associated connectivity manager operating on the network. The virtual router receives a location resolution response from the connectivity manager including at least a destination network node ID. The virtual router may then forward the packet to the destination network node ID.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure provide methods and systems for sidelink resource allocation in user equipment (UE) groups. The method includes, receiving, by a UE, from a radio access network (RAN) node, a first resource configuration message including configuration information for sidelink resources indicated by a sidelink resource grant and conditions for using sidelink resources of the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes receiving, from a second UE of the UE group, a second sidelink resource configuration message, the second sidelink resource configuration message including an activation indicator to activate at least a portion of the sidelink resources indicated by the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes determining the sidelink resources to be used for sidelink transmissions by combining the first and second sidelink resource configuration messages. The method further includes using the determined sidelink resources for data transmissions. Other embodiments of the disclosure provide for a method of performing UE group handover (HO), by a UE.

摘要: Methods of location tracking and location resolution are discussed for network architectures which allow devices, such as User Equipment, to communicate with different networks (e.g., different network operators) without roaming. A hierarchical Connectivity Management (CM) is provided which allows for location tracking and location resolution as devices move within and between different network boundaries. Such a hierarchy includes a Global CM which provides inter network CM, and domain CM which provides intra network CM. Some embodiments utilize virtual user CMs within the domain. In some embodiments the global CM is implemented by a third party. In other embodiments different networks inter operate by utilizing virtual network slices over non-owned infrastructure to provide what appears to be a global network by each operator.
