Abstract: The aerosol-generating article (9) comprises a casing (8) and a plurality of aerosol-generating particles (1) arranged in the casing. Also disclosed is an aerosol-forming pellet (3) and a method for forming aerosol-generating pellets. The method comprises the steps of providing a plurality of particles, filling the plurality of particles into a cavity of a predefined shape and compacting the plurality of particles in the cavity, thereby forming an aerosol-generating pellet having the shape of the cavity.
