    摘要: The invention provides methods of synthesizing peptides, involving the steps of providing a composition including a peptide fragment, wherein the peptide fragment has at least one amino acid residue and includes a base-sensitive, N-terminal protecting group; removing the base-sensitive, N-terminal protecting group from the peptide fragment using a deprotection reagent that includes a base, whereby an N-terminal functionality on the peptide fragment is deprotected; removing the base from the composition to provide a residual base content of more than 100 ppm; causing a reactive peptide fragment having a reactive C-terminus and a base-sensitive N-terminal protecting group to react with the deprotected N-terminal functionality of the peptide fragment under conditions such that the reactive peptide fragment is added to the peptide fragment; and optionally repeating the deprotection and coupling steps until a desired peptide is obtained. Also provided are methods of synthesizing peptides, wherein base is removed from the composition to a point where the composition would provide a positive chloranil test. Also provided are methods of synthesizing peptides, wherein coupling is performed in basic reaction mixtures.

    摘要: A synchronous single port random access memory comprises a core 2 of memory cells 3 arranged as rows and columns. The rows are addressed by a row decoder 5 and the memory cell outputs are connected as columns to a column decoder and multiplexer 7. The decoder and multiplexer 7 selects groups of memory cells 3 from the addressed row and connects these to sense amplifiers 8. Changes in address are propagated immediately to the core 2 so that the selected memory cells 3 are connected as quickly as possible and without any fixed delays to the sense amplifiers 8. Similarly, a read clock “rclk” enables the sense amplifiers 8 immediately upon becoming active.

    摘要: The present invention concerns an injection device with a housing adapted to receive a syringe having a discharge nozzle, the housing having an indicator opening. There is a trigger and a forward drive arranged to act upon the syringe on actuation of the trigger to advance the syringe from a retracted position to an extended position thereby discharging the contents of the syringe through the discharge nozzle. A support member is in contacting juxtaposition with the housing and a return drive is supported by the support member and arranged to act upon the syringe after the contents of the syringe has been discharged so that the syringe can be withdrawn from the extended position to the retracted position. Advantageously, the support member is arranged in the housing so that the second drive does not obscure an inspection of the contents of the syringe through the indicator opening. Hence, it can be clearly determined whether the contents of the syringe have been expelled from the syringe.
