    Abstract: Enhanced measurements for new radio-unlicensed (NR-U) operations are disclosed. Compatible user equipments (UEs) may be configured to perform virtual full listen before talk (LBT) procedures for measurement purposes. The UEs may then compile LBT statistics derived from the virtual LBT procedures and include such statistics in an enhanced measurement report the their serving base stations. The LBT statistics provide a more direct and detailed reflection of the usage of a shared communication channel. Such UEs may further be configured to gather additional LBT statistics from transmission-based LBT procedures in addition to the virtual LBT procedures. The additional direct and detailed usage of a shared channel may then be provided in the enhanced measurement reports in accordance with described aspects.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink control information (DCI) communication for scheduling a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The first PDSCH may be associated with at least a first transmit receive point (TRP). The UE may receive a second DCI communication for scheduling a second PDSCH. The second PDSCH may be associated with a second TRP and at least one of the first TRP or a third TRP. The UE may receive downlink communications based at least in part on the first DCI communication and the second DCI communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for sharing a user equipment (UE)-initiated channel occupancy time (COT) with a base station (BS) by transmitting receiver-side assistance information on an uplink shared channel of an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. In some aspects, the UE may perform a clear channel assessment (CCA) prior to an uplink transmit opportunity, and if the CCA is successful, transmit the receiver-side assistance information on the uplink shared channel to share the COT with a BS. Multiple uplink transmit opportunities may be indicated to the UE send the receiver-side assistance information. In some examples, the uplink transmit opportunities may be configured grant occasions for a configured grant or scheduled by downlink control information. By transmitting to the BS, the UE may share the COT with the BS, and the BS may send downlink data to the UE during the COT.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support communications across a wideband, a base station and user equipment (UE) may communicate across the wideband using a set of sub-bands that span the carrier bandwidth (e.g., the wideband). In some cases, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication of a capability of the UE to communicate a wideband communication with the base station via the set of sub-band based communications with the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station (and, in some cases based on the capability of the UE), a configuration for communicating with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using the set of sub-bands. Then, the UE may communicate with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using one or more of the set of sub-bands in accordance with the configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support a reliable array response for wideband communications, a base station may configure a set of transmission instances for a set of signals distributed across a wideband carrier bandwidth. At least one transmission instance of the set of transmission instances may be configured in each sub-band of the carrier bandwidth. The base station may transmit the set of signals in the configured transmission instances to a user equipment (UE). The UE may receive the set of signals distributed across the carrier bandwidth and may measure, for the signals, a set of signal measurements corresponding to the set of sub-bands. Based on the signal measurements, the UE may determine a set of communication beams for the set of sub-bands. Using one or more of the determined communication beams, the UE may communicate with the base station in the carrier bandwidth.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Various autonomous uplink control channel configurations may be used for unscheduled uplink transmissions. For example, a user equipment (UE) may initiate an unscheduled uplink transmission and may identify an autonomous uplink control channel configuration for the uplink transmission. The UE may transmit control information and data during an initial transmission time interval of a transmission opportunity according to the control channel configuration, where the control channel configuration control may include a number of different waveforms and payload configurations. For example, an autonomous uplink control channel configuration may include control information frequency division multiplexed or time division multiplexed with data and transmitted in one or more frequency interlaces. In some cases, the control channel configuration may include a symbol period for a clear-to-send signal, and one or more symbol periods used a guard period before the data transmission.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to medium access in a shared radio frequency band with long-term sensing for exception to medium access restriction are provided. A wireless communication device performs channel measurements in a shared radio frequency band during a plurality of measurement occasions spaced apart in time, the performing the channel measurements being based on a plurality of spatial directions. The wireless communication device determines whether the channel measurements satisfy a criterion for accessing the shared radio frequency band without a medium access restriction. The wireless communication device transmits, in a first spatial direction, a first communication signal in the shared radio frequency band without the medium access restriction in response to determining that the channel measurements satisfy the criterion, the plurality of spatial directions including the first spatial direction.
