A method for wireless communication at a ProSe relay candidate includes receiving, from a network, a ProSe Relay Indication (PRI); broadcasting at least one discovery message that includes the PRI; and receiving a relay connection request from a UE based at least in part on a compliance of the at least one discovery message with a relay selection rule of the UE.

A synchronization cycle may be determined that includes a plurality of monitoring periods. The monitoring periods may be a time between at least two start times of sequential D2D synchronization signals to detect at least one of the D2D synchronization signals. Sub-monitoring periods may be determined based on the duration of the monitoring periods. The sub-monitoring periods may have a cumulative duration the same as the duration of the monitoring period and be scheduled to occur during different monitoring periods of the synchronization cycle.

In one aspect, a method may include identifying, by a base station, a WAN frequency hopping scheme. The base station may coordinate a D2D frequency hopping scheme a D2D enabled user equipment (UE) with the identified WAN frequency hopping scheme, and communicate the D2D frequency hopping scheme to the D2D enabled UE. In one aspect, the D2D frequency hopping pattern may apply to retransmissions between two D2D enabled UEs. Another method may include receiving, by a D2D enabled UE, a D2D frequency hopping scheme from a base station, where the D2D frequency hopping scheme is coordinated with a WAN frequency hopping scheme. The D2D enabled UE may transmit at least one message to a second D2D enabled UE according to the D2D frequency hopping scheme.

According to an aspect of the disclosure, the apparatus receives, on a first frequency of a first channel from a first base station serving a first cell, discovery information associated with a second frequency of a second channel corresponding to a second cell, wherein the first frequency is a downlink (DL) frequency and the second frequency is an uplink (UL) frequency. The apparatus discovers, based on the received discovery information, one or more UEs on the second frequency of the second channel.

    摘要: Apparatuses, systems, and devices are described for transmissions and retransmissions of device-to-device (D2D) communications. A D2D message may be transmitted during an initial communications period, followed by one or more retransmissions. A device may transmit an initial transmission, determine a time hopping pattern for the retransmission(s), and determine a transmission resource for the retransmission(s) based at least in part on a resource of the initial transmission and the time hopping pattern. The messages may include, for example, a scheduling assignment (SA) for data transmission, or data transmissions from a transmitting device. Time hopping patterns may be determined based on times and/or frequencies of the initial transmission. A base station may transmit a message to a transmitting device that indicates one or more time hopping patterns that are to be used for the transmissions.
