Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, an indication of a subset of tracking reference signal (TRS) resource sets from a plurality of TRS resource sets. The UE may receive, from the network node, a TRS availability indication bitmap that indicates an availability of a TRS associated with the subset of TRS resource sets. The UE may determine that the TRS is available based at least in part on the TRS availability indication bitmap. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may determine a beam configuration associated with a set of directional beams of a base station. The beam configuration may include a set of identifiers associated with the set of directional beams. The UE may determine beam position information associated with a coverage area of each directional beam of the set of directional beams based on the beam configuration. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may determine beam classification information associated with the coverage area of each directional beam of the set of directional beams based on the beam configuration. The UE may select a directional beam of the set of directional beams based on the beam position information and the beam classification information, and communicate with the base station using the selected directional beam.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow coverage enhancement and support in NTNs for repetition, frequency hopping, and antenna switching during msgA transmissions based on a preamble-to-PO mapping. In one aspect, the base station provides and the UE obtains a RACH configuration associating a preamble with at least one PO for two-step random access, where the PO spans a time interval greater than one slot. In another aspect, the base station provides and the UE obtains a RACH configuration associating a preamble with a plurality of POs for two-step random access. In a further aspect, the base station provides the UE a plurality of configurations each indicating a PO for two-step random access. In an additional aspect, the base station provides the UE a configuration indicating a guard band for a PO for two-step random access, where the guard band is indicated in units of subcarriers spanning less than one PRB.

Additionally, or alternatively, the adjustment to the reception parameter may include refraining from joint channel estimation across a plurality of slots, adjusting a downscaling parameter or a frequency tuning associated with at least one reception antenna, refraining from blind decoding, or a combination thereof. The UE may select, for a communication on the multi-slot transmission occasion, coded bits of a plurality of coded bits on one of the per slot basis or the per segment basis, for each of a plurality of segments, each segment including one of the one or more sets of contiguous time domain resources and spanning across at least two slots. The UE may interleave the coded bits on one of the per slot basis or the per segment basis to form one or more interleaved encoded bit sequences of a codeblock.
