    Abstract: A Device to Device (D2D) user equipment (UE) is configured to support synchronization in a D2D network. The D2D UE includes an antenna configured to communicate via a D2D communication. The D2D UE also includes processing circuitry configured to enter a communication Mode 2 when certain conditions are met. The certain conditions include: when a first timer (T310) for detecting radio link failure is running, a second timer (T311) for initiating the connection reestablishment is running, or a third timer (T301) for requesting connection reestablishment is running. In communication Mode 2, the D2D UE, on its own, selects resources from resource pool(s) to transmit D2D data and D2D control information. The processing circuitry further configured to exit the communication Mode 2 and enter a communication Mode 1 when the certain condition is no longer met. In communication Mode 1, the D2D UE uses resources configured by another station.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for CSI reporting mechanisms are provided. A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor operably connected to the transceiver. The transceiver is configured to receive information indicating a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration, uplink-related downlink control information (DCI), and a CSI-RS associated with a selected CSI-RS resource in a same subframe as the uplink-related DCI. The processor configured to determine, in response to a CSI request included in the uplink-related DCI, an aperiodic CSI in reference to the CSI-RS. The transceiver is further configured to report the aperiodic CSI by transmitting the aperiodic CSI on an uplink channel.

    Abstract: The sensing method a first vehicle user equipment (UE) for collision avoidance in a wireless communication network comprises receiving a set of scheduling assignment (SA) information allocated to a set of second vehicle UEs, decoding the set of SA information, each of which includes SA information to each of the set of second vehicle UEs, performing energy sensing operation for resources to be used by each of the set of second vehicle UEs to determine additional potential SA transmission and data transmission from the set of second vehicle UEs over the resources, determining available resources for the data transmission from the first vehicle UE based on the performed energy sensing and SA sensing, skipping a channel sensing operation on at least one subframe that is used for the data transmission from the first vehicle UE, and transmitting data among resources identified as unused in next transmissions from second vehicle UEs.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE). The UE includes a transceiver configured to receive, from an eNodeB (eNB), a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurement timing configuration (RMTC) over an unlicensed spectrum in a licensed assisted access (LAA) and at least one processor configured to generate an average RSSI measurement in accordance with the received RMTC, wherein, the at least one processor is further configured to generate a channel occupancy measurement report including a channel occupancy ratio, and wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit, to the eNB, the channel occupancy measurement report with an RSSI measurement report including the average RSSI measurement.

    Abstract: A method includes detecting a device to device (D2D) synchronization signal of a neighbor base station, transmitted from at least one other UE associated with the neighbor base station through a transceiver, determining at least one UE receive (RX) resource pool configured by the neighbor base station based on the D2D synchronization signal of the neighbor base station, and monitoring a D2D discovery or communication signal transmitted from the at least one other UE according to the at least one UE RX resource pool through the transceiver. A method includes determining at least one UE RX resource pool for at least one device associated with a base station, each UE RX resource pool comprising a repetition of a Scheduling Assignment (SA) pool and a data pool with a scheduling cycle, the SA pool comprising a SA bitmap, and the data pool comprising at least one repeated data bitmap.
