Abstract: A method for transmitting wireless power in a wireless charging system and a wireless power transmitting unit (PTU) and provided. The method for transmitting wireless power in a wireless charging system includes receiving information related to a voltage from each of a plurality of power receiving units (PRUs); identifying a voltage ratio of each of the plurality of PRUs based on the received information, wherein the voltage ratio is a current voltage relative to a first voltage; determining a PRU among the plurality of PRUs based on the identified voltage ratio; and adjusting transmission power according to a voltage setting value of the determined PRU.

Abstract: A method for controlling a wireless power transmitter and a wireless power transmitter are provided. The method includes applying a detection power for detecting a change in a load impedance of the wireless power transmitter; detecting the change in the load impedance of the wireless power transmitter; receiving, from a wireless power receiver, a first signal within a preset time period after detecting the change in the load impedance; determining whether a reception intensity of the first signal is greater than a threshold; and based on determining that the reception intensity of the first signal is less than or equal to the threshold, stopping a communication with the wireless power receiver.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for performing wireless charging are disclosed. One of the disclosed apparatuses is a wireless power receiver which can receive charging power from a wireless power transmitter. When the wireless power receiver receives, through a power receiving circuit, from a wireless power transmitter, a first power for initiating a communication unit; establishes a communication connection with the wireless power transmitter while receiving the first power; performs, by the communication unit, communication with the wireless power transmitter; receives, through the power receiving circuit, from the wireless power transmitter, a second power for charging; transmits, by the communication unit, to the wireless power transmitter, a message indicating a mode transition of the communication unit; terminates the communication with the wireless power transmitter; performs the mode transition for a time period while receiving the second power; and resumes the communication with the wireless power transmitter, after performing the mode transition.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling power transmission in a power transmitter against overvoltage at a power receiver. The power transmitter receives a subscription request to subscribe to a wireless power network, from the power receiver. It is determined whether power transmission is available for the power receiver. The power receiver is informed that the power transmission is beginning, when the power transmission is available. The transmission power is increased and transmitted. It is determined whether a stop request to stop increasing voltage is received at the power transmitter from the power receiver. The increase of the transmission power is stopped when the stop request is received at the power transmitter. Charging of the power receiver is started by transmitting a start charging command from the power transmitter to the power receiver.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for providing additional information service in a mobile communication terminal. A microphone receives a sound signal including an audible frequency band and an inaudible frequency band. Additional information related to the service is detected in the inaudible frequency band included in the sound signal. The detected additional information is extracted from the sound signal. Data for providing the service is acquired based on the extracted additional information. A service screen is displayed based on the acquired data.
