Abstract:
Apparatus, methods, and articles of manufacture for encoding a compressed media stream are disclosed. A disclosed method encodes frames associated with one or more compressed media streams within the media signal on a frame-by-frame basis and releases for transmission an encoded version of the media signal containing the encoded frames on a packet-by-packet basis.
Abstract:
This invention is related to multi-layer golf balls having at least one layer containing a neutralized high acid ionomer linked to a grafted metallocene copolymer, where the golf balls exhibit improved performance characteristics and properties.
Abstract:
Golf balls consisting of a dual core and a dual cover are disclosed. The Shore C hardness of the outer core layer's outer surface is greater than that of the inner cover layer's outer surface, and the Shore C hardness of the outer core layer's outer surface is at least 20 Shore C units greater than that of the center.
Abstract:
RFID reader and methods of operating an RFID reader are provided to limit or prevent the issuing of confidential information such as encryption keys, passwords, shared secrets, and the like to RFID tags if a reader is not authorized. The reader may determine its authorization status based on a self-check, information from another reader, or information from a controller, and limit an operational aspect of itself or for communication with the tags.
Abstract:
A method is described for managing vapors generated from an ammonia-containing reductant delivery system. The method may include generating ammonia vapors in a first storage device and storing said generated ammonia vapors in a second storage device. Further, the method may include purging the stored vapors from the second storage device to upstream of a combustion chamber of the engine during a first condition and downstream of the combustion chamber during a second condition.
Abstract:
A golf ball including an inner core having a geometric center and a first outer surface, the inner core being formed from a first substantially homogenous rubber composition, and an outer core layer formed from a second substantially homogenous rubber composition, the outer core layer having a second outer surface. An inner cover layer is formed over the core and includes an ionomeric material. An outer cover layer is formed over the inner cover layer and includes a castable polyurea or a castable polyurethane. The first outer surface has a hardness of up to about 20 Shore C less than a hardness at the geometric center to define a negative hardness gradient inner core and the second outer surface has a hardness of up to 18 Shore C greater than the geometric center hardness to define a positive gradient outer core layer and a shallow positive hardness gradient core.
Abstract:
A method for the in-situ preparation of an ionic comonomer from its chemical precursors, prepared in a solution of styrene monomer is disclosed. In one embodiment, the ionic comonomer is zirconium methacrylate, Zr(MA)4 or zirconyl methacrylate, ZrO(MA)2, or a combination thereof, and zirconium carbonate hydroxide oxide, ZrCO3(OH)2.ZrO2, and methacrylic acid, CH2═C(CH3)—COOH, are used as precursors used for its in-situ preparation.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to monitor a multimedia presentation including multiple content windows are disclosed. An example method to monitor a media device providing a media presentation capable of including a plurality of content windows disclosed herein comprises obtaining a monitored image corresponding to the media presentation provided by the media device, determining a parameter value representative of at least one of a luminance or a chrominance of a region in the monitored image, a shape of the region representative of at least one of the plurality of content windows, and comparing the parameter value to a highlight threshold to determine whether a content window associated with a location of the region in the monitored image is highlighted.

Abstract:
A golf ball having a cover comprising thin inner and outer layers formed by a co-injected cup process. The inner layer comprising a hard Surlyn while the outer layer comprises a composition a bi-modal ethylene-acid copolymer composition. The core size will be greater than 1.50 inches in diameter. The golf ball will provide a cover that is compression molded and is very soft without sacrificing durability or shear resistance. The outer layer comprising a bi-modal ethylene-acid co-polymer composition.
