    摘要: A liquid crystal is sealed with a sealing member between first and second transparent substrates, whereby a liquid crystal cell capable of transmitting ultraviolet light is produced. The liquid crystal cell is inserted into a mould into which an ultraviolet-setting resin is dropped and which is used to produce a light control member. The ultraviolet-setting resin is pressed to be bonded to the liquid crystal cell. In this state, ultraviolet light is irradiated to the liquid crystal cell in the mould from outside the mould. Thus, the ultraviolet-setting resin is set while bonding to the liquid crystal cell. Thereafter, the liquid crystal cell is removed from the mould. Consequently, the light control member is directly formed on the liquid crystal cell.

    摘要: The liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal cell with liquid crystals sealed thereinbetween, sandwiched between two transparent substrates having an electrode on each of the inner surfaces thereof facing each other, a first reflective polarizing film disposed on the visible side of the liquid crystal cell, a second reflective polarizing film disposed on the side of the liquid crystal cell, opposite from the visible side, and a light absorption film disposed on the side of the second reflective polarizing film, opposite from the visible side. The first reflective polarizing film as well as the second reflective polarizing film is a polarizing sheet reflecting a light linearly polarized in the direction orthogonal to the transmission axis thereof. A light absorption film and/or a backlight may preferably be disposed under the second reflective polarizing film. Further, an absorption-type polarizing film or a light diffusion layer may preferably be disposed on the visible side of the first reflective polarizing film.

    摘要: In order to perform a multi-gradation display of high quality on a liquid crystal panel (6) by a small-scale A/D converter (1), a 4 - bit A/D converter (1) is equipped with four reference potential couples for performing the dither method using arbitrary two reference potential couples in each of two fields to display a signal at a first pixel. Likewise the remaining two reference potential couples are used for the dither method to display the signal at a second pixel adjacent thereto. In this way, the dither method is applied to adjacent pixels using different reference potential couples to generate an area gradation, so that it is possible to represent 64 gradations owing to the multiple effect of the dither method and the dot area modulation method. Moreover, it is possible to obtain a display of high quality which is free from flicker disturbance since the dither cycle is 1/30 second.

    摘要: A direct oxidation fuel cell system includes a fuel cell and a cooling device. An anode-side separator of the fuel cell has a fuel flow channel in the face in contact with the anode. The direction of a flow of air supplied by the cooling device is set so that the upstream-side portion in the average flow direction of fuel in the fuel flow channel is selectively cooled. This allows the upstream-side portion of the polymer electrolyte membrane having large MCO to be cooled, thereby reducing the amount of MCO. Also, the downstream-side portion where the fuel concentration in the fuel flow channel is low has a relatively high temperature, thereby making it possible to improve the energy conversion efficiency.
