摘要: A multimode focus detecting apparatus comprises a light emitting device for irradiating an object to be detected, a light receiving device for receiving light reflected from the object, and a light receiving optical system for collecting the reflected light on the light receiving device, so that a position of the object is detected in accordance with a position of the reflected light incident on the light receiving device, in which the light emitting device includes a plurality of light emitting elements and a light emitting optical system disposed in front of the light emitting elements, having an exit surface from which light emitted from the light emitting elements emerges, with a positive refracting power as a whole. Thus, the multimode focus detecting apparatus has advantages that the difference in focus detecting ability between individual points in the visual field is reduced and focus detection can be made to a far distance in its circumference as well as at the center, so that in an active type AF camera having a telephoto lens system in particular, AF with a high degree of accuracy is possible to a far distance.

摘要: The real image mode variable magnification finder optical system comprises an objective which consists of a first lens component having a negative refractive power, a second lens component having a positive refractive power and a third lens component having a positive refractive power, and an eyepiece having a positive refractive power. For variation of magnification and correction of diopter, the second lens component and the third lens component are moved, while the first lens component is kept stationary, so as to set the airspace reserved therebetween at a maximum width thereof in the vicinity of a middle field angle. This finder optical system has a variable magnification ratio which is substantially higher than 2, can correct aberration favorably, permits shortening total length of the finder section thereof and can be manufactured at a low cost.

摘要: A rear view mirror assembly comprising a liquid crystal cell of guest-host type which consists of a layer of dichroic dyestuff added nematic liquid crystal and a pair of transparent plates sandwiching the liquid crystal therebetween. A transparent electrode is formed on the inside surface of each plate by means of conductive coating. A quarter wave phase difference filter is mounted on the backside of one of the plates. A flat mirror is mounted on the backside of the quarter wave phase difference filter. A photo-sensitive means receives light passing through the liquid crystal cell and an optical polarization filter in turn and produces a photo-detector signal. A control circuit controls voltage applied to the electrodes of liquid crystal cell so that the magnitude of photo-detector signal may become equal to the predetermined level. The predetermined level is changeable in accordance with the magnitude of detector signal produced by another photo-sensitive means for detecting circumjacent light.

摘要: A plurality of heat generating resistors (11a, 11b) arranged in line in a thermal head are driven such that two consecutive heat generating resistors (11a, 11b) are combined to cover a single picture element whose desired density is represented by each datum. A head drive circuit is provided so that only a first heat generating resistor (11a) is energized when the desired density is below a predetermined value, and that both the first and second heat generating resistors (11a, 11b) are energized when the desired density is equal to or above the predetermined value. The energizing duration of the second heat generating resistor (11b) is set to be within the energizing duration of the first heat generating resistor (11a) to reduce printing time, and the end of the energizing duration of the second heat generating resistor (11b) corresponds to the end of energizing duration of the first heat generating resistor (11a) so as to ensure linearity in tone value.

摘要: Disclosed is a system for recording and playing back information utilizing a magneto-optical disc memory having a vertical magnetization film on and from which the information is recorded and read out by an optical means. In order to simplify the construction of the system, an optical system including an objective lens and a tracking mirror is used both as a part of an optical path of a recording light beam and a part of an optical path of a readout light beam. The wavelengths of the recording light beam and the readout light beam are selected to be different so that the light beams are easily discriminated in the optical system.

摘要: A headphone (3) has LEDs indicating whether a head-mounted display is used for the left eye or for the right eye. In the case shown in the attached figure, the LED of L showing that the display is used for the left eye is lit. Whether the head-mounted display is used for the left eye or for the right eye is indicated by the LEDs, and depending on whether it is used for the left eye or for the right eye, audio outputted from the headphone (3) is switched over between the left and the right. Independent of whether the head-mounted display is used for the left eye or for the right eye, audio for the right ear is outputted for the right ear and audio for the left ear is outputted for the left ear.

摘要: A camera operates in cooperation with a wearable image display apparatus configured to be wearable on an eye region of a user. The camera includes an imaging unit, a vibration detection unit, a transmission availability judgment unit and a communication unit. The imaging unit acquires an image of a subject. The vibration detection unit detects vibration of the camera. The transmission availability judgment unit permits transmission of the image acquired by the imaging unit to the wearable image display apparatus when the vibration detection unit does not detect the vibration of the camera, and prohibits transmission of the image acquired by the imaging unit to the wearable image display apparatus when the vibration detection unit detects the vibration of the camera. The communication unit transmits the image acquired by the imaging unit to the wearable image display apparatus when transmission of the image acquired by the imaging unit is permitted.
