    摘要: A lamp device and a projector having the lamp device eliminated of light leaking in a direction opposite to a reflecting direction at a rear end of an encapsulation fixing an arc tube on a reflection mirror is simply and inexpensively provided. An arc tube and a reflection mirror are provided. The arc tube has encapsulations one of which is inserted in a cylinder of the reflection mirror thereby securing the encapsulation and the cylinder together by an adhesive. The bulb of the arc tube and the other encapsulation are positioned on a side close to a reflection surface of the reflection mirror. The encapsulation inserted in the cylinder and positioned on a side opposite to the reflection surface has an end at least at an end face of which is covered with the adhesive thereby providing light shield.

    摘要: Aspects of the invention can provide a lamp device that is capable of avoiding concentration of stresses in a sub-mirror fixing portion of an arc tube. The lamp device can include an arc tube provided with a bulb portion encapsulating inside a pair of electrodes, and a pair of sealing portions formed continuously from the bulb portion and sealing inside electrode axes having the electrodes at tip ends and conductor foils to bring the electrode axes into conduction, a main reflection mirror, to which the sealing portion is fixed, to reflect lights emitted from the arc tube toward an illuminated region, and a sub-mirror fixed to the sealing portion in such a manner that a reflection surface opposes the main reflection mirror with the bulb portion in between. The sub-mirror can be bonded with a bonding agent to a surface region of the sealing portion present in a direction moving away from the bulb portion in reference to a position corresponding to a termination of the electrode axis.

    摘要: To reduce or prevent adhesive particles from being scattered toward a light-emitting portion of an arc tube and an auxiliary reflecting surface of an auxiliary mirror even when an inorganic adhesive injected for fixing the auxiliary mirror to the arc tube is boiled, a method of manufacturing a light source lamp includes: setting a light-reflecting surface of the auxiliary mirror so as to face the light-emitting portion of the arc tube and injecting an adhesive into a gap between the auxiliary mirror and the arc tube; heating and curing the adhesive from a side nearer to the light-emitting portion of the arc tube; and attaching the reflector to the arc tube with the auxiliary mirror fixed thereto. For example, a heated air blowoff and light irradiation toward the adhesive form the side nearer to the light-emitting portion of the arc tube may be performed. Further, a projector includes: an illumination system with the light source lamp; an optical modulator; and a projector lens.

The reflector has a step formed between the peripheral edge of an opening end of the insertion hole near the reflecting surface. The external diameter of the step is larger than the external diameter of the sub-reflection mirror while the external diameter of the step is within the internal diameter of a valid reflection area of the reflector, the internal diameter being defined by a focal position on the front side of the reflector and the outer periphery of the sub-reflection mirror.

    摘要: In a lamp device provided with an arc tube, a principal reflection mirror, and a sub-mirror; a decrease in illumination light, caused by a trigger line disposed to improve the turn-on characteristics of the arc tube, being suppressed. The lamp device include an arc tube having a bulb portion that incorporates electrodes and sealing portions; a principal reflection mirror; a sub-mirror; leads connected to an electrode at an end portion of each of the sealing portions; and a trigger line. The trigger line has a ring-like portion wound around the sealing portion. The trigger line extends from the ring-like portion and has a wiring path that passes a neighborhood of the bulb portion without coming into contact with the bulb portion, further extends along the sealing portion and is connected to the lead. The wiring path is in the same plane that extends through an optical axis.

    摘要: The present invention provides a technique for improving the optical characteristics of a light-selective prism. By cutting a block along a plane perpendicular to a first direction, a plurality of first small blocks are obtained. A first selective film is formed on the cut face of the first small block, and the plurality of first small blocks are stuck together so as to obtain a first processed block in which the first selective film is located at the interface of adjacent two first small blocks. Next, by cutting the first processed block along a plane perpendicular to a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction, a plurality of second small blocks are obtained. A second selective film is formed on the cut face of the second small block, and the plurality of second small blocks are stuck together to obtain a second processed block in which the second selective film is located at the interface of adjacent two second small blocks. Light-selective prisms in which two kinds of selective films are formed on an almost X shape interface is obtained from the second processed block.
