    摘要: This invention concerns an improvement in manufacturing of color picture tubes wherein photosensitive slurry is applied on the inner surface of a face panel of the tube and dried to form a dried slurry, then a shadow mask is secured to the face panel with a specified gap in between, and ultraviolet rays impinge on the dried slurry layer through a path-refracting lens and apertures of said shadow mask so as to form dots on the inner surface.The improvement lies in provision of a light attenuator to control exposure distribution of the ultraviolet rays closely beneath the shadow mask. With this arrangement, sizes of the dots in the edge part of a screen can be made almost equal irrespective of changes of position of the ultraviolet ray source. Consequently, the dots for the three colors in the edge portion of the screen can be made substantially equal in size, and good color balance throughout the picture screen is obtainable.

    摘要: A gas-liquid contacting method and a scrubber used therefor are disclosed which are adapted to remove harmful components, such as SOx, NOx, CO, Cl.sub.2 and HCl contained in exhaust gases. According to this invention, liquid is sprayed to follow a conical form and the mist of liquid which is thus being diffused in a conical form is encompassed with a gas flowing in parallel relation therewith. To this end, at least one nozzle for spraying liquid and an encompassing tube for ejecting gas are arranged to specific forms and relations to the effect that an excellent contacting efficiency will result, without increasing energy consumption due to pressure loss.

The groove or grooves can have a decreasing depth or decreasing width, proceeding from the opening of the oil passage of the ball seat toward the oil chamber. Plural grooves can be provided at equal circumferential intervals, and the grooves can be circumferentially inclined. In each case, the groove or grooves improve separation of the ball from the seat, and thereby improve responsiveness of the tensioner to variations in chain tension.
