摘要: A rotation detection device is provided in a motor roller of a conveying apparatus to detect changes in the rotation speed of the motor roller. When an object is moved from an upstream location of a conveyance path to the motor roller having the rotation detection device, the rotation detection device detects the presence of the object by measuring the slight variation in rotation speed of the motor roller. A control unit is provided to monitor the output signals from a plurality of rotation detection devices, arranged along the conveyance path. The control device independently adjusts the conveyance speeds of a plurality of independent conveyance portions along the conveyance path based upon these output signals. This system allows conveyance of a plurality of objects along the conveyance while avoiding one object from running into another object due to, for example, a delay at a particular point along the conveyance path.

摘要: A valve insertion method without stopping passage of fluid, wherein, first, a part of an already-installed pipe is enclosed air-tightly with a valve casing, a milling type cutting tool which has cutting edges on a free end surface and an outer circumferential surface thereof, and a gate being housed in the valve casing with the gate and the cutting tool fixed thereto. The gate and cutting tool are provided in positions spaced from each other in the axial direction of the already-installed pipe. A worker then feeds the cutting tool in the radial direction of the already-installed pipe as he has the cutting tool make cutting motions for cutting the pipe by the rotation of the cutting tool. The valve casing is then turned in the circumferential direction of the already-installed pipe as the cutting motions are kept made, whereby a cut groove cut in the direction of the range of the whole circumference of the pipe is formed. After the grooving operation is finished, the worker takes out the cutting tool from the valve casing, and then closes an operation valve. After the grooving operation is finished, the worker transfers the valve casing in the axial direction of the already-installed pipe, whereby the gate is transferred to a position which corresponds to that of the cut groove.

摘要: The present invention provides an improved gate valve system for cutting off a fluid flowing through a pipe. The gate valve system includes a gate valve and at least one member. The gate valve includes a seal member exhibiting an elastically deformable property for sealingly contacting the inner surface of the pipe, and a support member for receiving said seal member and movable in the perpendicular direction to the flowing direction of the fluid between the outside and inside of the pipe for timely bringing said seal member into a sealing contact with the inner surface of the pipe. The at least one expansion member is deformable, but is not substantially subjected to the volume variation even under pressure. The at least one expansion member is embedded in the seal member in such a manner as to expand the seal member laterally outwardly to the inner surface of the pipe upon receiving pressure effected by the sealing contact between the seal member and the inner surface of the pipe.

摘要: In a valve operating system for an internal combustion engine, a support shaft supporting a roller is fitted in a fitting bore of a rocker arm, and a pin fixed in the rocker arm engages with an engage groove provided on the outer surface of the support shaft so as to extend in a direction tangential to an imaginary circle about the axis of the support shaft, an insertion bore which extends in a straight line and connects to an inner surface of a fitting bore at a position corresponding to the engage groove of the support shaft is provided in the rocker arm and the pin engaging with the engage groove by being inserted into the insertion bore is engaged with the rocker arm by crimping at least one end of the pin with flat punches so as to be fixed in the rocker arm. The pin can thus be fixed effectively in the rocker arm while maintaining the rigidity of the rocker arm.

摘要: A pipe joint for connecting a plain pipe end. The joint has a bell which has a socket defined therein. The socket includes an axis, a conical surface, a first cylindrical surface of smaller diameter extending from one end of the conical surface, a bottom of the socket adjacent the first cylindrical surface for seating the pipe end, and a second cylindrical surface of larger diameter extending from the other end of the conical surface. A gasket is disposed adjacent the conical surface prior to sealing with the conical surface acting as a gasket seat during sealing of the gasket. A gland is provided and has a radially extending handle for rotating the gland from outside the bell. A breech lock mechanism is provided which includes internal segments on the second cylindrical surface of the socket and corresponding, cooperating external segments on the gland, the internal and external segments having matching, mirrored inclined plane surfaces for engagement with each other. The engagement of the inclined surfaces of the internal and external segments of the breech lock mechanism and rotation of the means causes axial movement of the gland relative to the socket. A thrust restraining grip ring can be provided in an annular tapered cavity on in inner circumferential surface of the gland ring. The bell can have a radially extending handle which the gland handle can abut.
