Abstract: A method may include receiving, from a user device, a registration request that includes a subscription concealed identifier (SUCI), identifying a network element to decode the SUCI and forwarding the SUCI to the identified network element. The method may also include decoding the SUCI to identify a subscription permanent identifier (SUPI), identifying a unified data management (UDM) device associated with the SUPI and transmitting an authentication request to the identified UDM device to obtain authentication information associated with the user device. The method may further include receiving the authentication information and authenticating the user device based on the received authentication information.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein include receiving, at a network device and from a session management device, a first message that includes a first identifier associated with a subscriber and a second identifier associated with a first service that is charged using an online charging system. The network device transmits a second message that indicates a first time period in which to report data usage associated with the first service and a second time period in which to report data usage associated with one or more second services that are charged using an offline charging system. The network device receives first data usage information associated with the first service after the first time period and second data usage information associated with the one or more second services after the second time period. The network device processes the data usage information.

In some aspects, a device may receive traffic data associated with a coverage area and determine that there is network congestion. If there is network congestion, the device may identify a high-consumption user device. The device may perform a corrective action in connection with a load of the high-consumption user device, such as limit a throughput of the high-consumption user device. Abstract: A first network function (NF) instance sends a request for a session to a second NF instance. The first NF instance receives a response, from the second NF instance, that includes a binding header that includes a failover mode identifier, a designated number of retry attempts, and a retry mode. The first NF instance sends a second request for the session to the second NF instance. The first NF instance determines if an error or a timed out response has occurred subsequent to sending the second request to the second NF instance, and re-sends, in response to the error or timed out response, the second request based on the failover mode identifier, the designated number of retry attempts and the retry mode from the binding header.

Abstract: A network device for a mobile carrier network sends, to a third-party content platform, a client message including a first dedicated subscription parameter extension. The first dedicated subscription parameter extension indicates one or more subscription parameters for a data flow between a user equipment (UE) device that originated the client message and the third-party content platform. The network device receives, from the third-party content platform, a server message including a second dedicated subscription parameter extension. The second dedicated subscription parameter extension confirms the third-party content platform will abide by the one or more subscription parameters. The network device generates, based on the one or more subscription parameters, a policy enforcement rule for the data flow that relies, at least in part, on cooperation of the third-party content platform.

Abstract: A network device may receive a request for determination of a first non-session management policy control decision for a UE, and may provide an account limits request to another network device based on the request. The network device may cause the UE to be provisioned with a service based on the first non-session management policy control service, and may receive a request for determination of a second non-session management policy control decision for the UE. The network device may determine a second non-session management policy control service for the UE based on the account limits, and may cause the UE to be provisioned with a service based on the second non-session management policy control service.
