摘要: An ink jet printer stores a waveform and tables. The tables list voltages in correspondence with each of a predetermined number of consecutive ejection operations from start of a scan row. Each of the plurality of tables corresponds to a different plurality of simultaneously fired actuators. The stored waveform is modified to match the voltage listed in correspondence with the next ink ejection operation in the table that corresponds to the number of actuators that will be simultaneously fired in the next ink ejection operation. Voltage is applied to actuators of a print head based on the modified waveform.

摘要: An ink jet recorder includes a recording head having an actuator for ejecting ink from a nozzle by changing the volume of an ink passage, an ink cartridge, a purging device, and a control unit. The control unit controls the purging device so as to effect a first purge and a second purge having a greater sucking force than that in the first purge, and controls the actuator during the first purging operation. Ink passage walls and ink are vibrated, and by virtue of a synergistic effect with the flow of ink flowing due to the first purging operation, bubbles and foreign objects attached to the passage walls are easily separated from the walls. The operation of the actuator can be executed by lagging behind a purging start for a predetermined time duration.

摘要: A drive voltage is applied to an actuator between adjacent ink-jet channels so that the actuator is deformed to jet ink from one of the adjacent channels. Then, a drive voltage for jetting ink from the other channel is applied to the actuator so as to partially overlap the drive voltage for deforming the actuator, and thereby the actuator returns to its original state. A first protection diode D1 and a second protection diode D2 for protecting transistors from a reverse bias voltage are connected respectively in parallel with a first transistor Q1 and a second transistor Q2, which constitute a driving circuit for the actuator. The average rectified current I.sub.0 used in the maximum rating of the protection diodes D1 and D2 satisfies I.sub.0 .gtoreq.2.times.E.times.C'.times.f (amps), and the peak current I.sub.FM used in the maximum rating satisfies I.sub.FM .gtoreq.2.times.(E-E.sub.F)/(2.times.R+R.sub.ON) (amps).

摘要: Disclosed is an ink jet printer in which the temperature detecting circuit 8 is arranged between the thermistor 3 mounted on the ink jet head 2 and the flexible cable 7 for transmitting the signal output from the thermistor 3 to the CPU 30, and the analog signal, which is the voltage value corresponding to the temperature of the ink jet head 2, from the thermistor 3 is converted into the pulse signal (digital signal) by the temperature detecting circuit 8, the digital signal being output to the CPU 30 through the flexible cable 7, thereby the drive voltage of the ink jet head 2 is controlled according to the viscosity change of the ink occurring by the temperature change of the ink jet head 2 itself or the circumstance surrounding the ink jet head 2, by detecting the temperature of the ink jet head 2 through the thermistor 3.

摘要: In a technique of monitoring whether a physical system is normal or abnormal by continuously comparing a phenomenon taking place in the system and a phenomenon taking place in a model and also in a technique of control adopting evaluation functions using an error quantity in the model, the phenomena in both the physical system and model can be optimized. An equivalent electric circuit to the physical system is produced, and an input is provided to both of the system and the circuit. In this state, the output of the physical system and the reference value of the equivalent electric circuit are compared. The use of the equivalent electric circuit permits solving the problem inherent in the prior art that the time necessary for analog-to-digital conversion and numerical calculations is longer than the time of the actual phenomenon and disables real time simulation.

摘要: It is difficult to use in combination a technique of detecting a collision of an arm due to application thereto of an external force and a technique of alleviating the degree of impact of the arm by covering the arm with a cushioning material. This is so because if it is intended to alleviate the impact degree, the timing of detection of the generation of the collision is delayed. The disclosed technique is to overcome the relation of the opposing factors by using a visco-elastic material. Particularly, by selecting the viscosity coefficient and the elasticity coefficient of the material in predetermined ranges, it is possible to alleviate the impact degree without excessive delay of the impact detection timing and forcibly stop the arm before the force acting between the arm and the object exceeds a permissible level.

摘要: A filter includes a case, filtering material housed within the case, a cover which covers the open end of the case and is non-rotatable relative to the case, and an annular fastener clamping the cover to the case. The case includes a large-diameter portion at an open end of the case, the large-diameter portion including a convexity forming an engagement tab. The cover has a concavity into which the convexity is received to prevent the cover from rotating relative to the case. Moreover, the cover includes a screw thread on the outer periphery thereof. The annular fastener has a screw thread on the inner periphery thereof mated with the screw thread on the outer periphery of the cover. On the other hand, the annular fastener has a small-diameter portion engaged with the large-diameter portion of the case by which engagement and mating of the screw threads the annular fastener secures the cover to the case. By preventing relative rotation between the cover and the case, the filter can be easily installed by being screwed onto a threaded member of an automotive engine or the like.
