摘要: To provide a method for manufacturing an SOI substrate having a single crystal semiconductor layer having a small and uniform thickness over an insulating film. Further, time of adding hydrogen ions is reduced and time of manufacture per SOI substrate is reduced. A bond layer is formed over a surface of a first semiconductor wafer and a separation layer is formed below the bond layer by irradiating the first semiconductor wafer with H3+ ions by an ion doping apparatus. H3+ ions accelerated by high voltage are separated to be three H+ ions at a semiconductor wafer surface, and the H+ ions cannot enter deeply. Therefore, H+ ions are added into a shallower region in the semiconductor wafer at a higher concentration than the case of using a conventional ion implantation method.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a light-emitting element that has fewer defects in operation due to crystallization of a layer included in the light-emitting element. A light-emitting element according to the present invention has a layer including a metal oxide and a compound that exhibits an electron donating property to the metal oxide. This layer has a first region and a second region. The metal oxide included in the first region has a higher concentration than the metal oxide included in the second region. The first region and the second regions are provided alternately and repeatedly. Each of the first region and the second region has a distance of 0.1 nm or more and 10 nm or less, more preferably 1 nm or more and 5 nm or less, in a thickness direction of the layer. It is preferable here that each of the compound that exhibits an electron donating property to the metal oxide and the metal oxide be included so that the molar ratio of the metal oxide to the compound that exhibits an electron donating property to the metal oxide (=metal oxide/compound) is 0.1 or more and 10 or less (the average value in the whole of the layer).

摘要: A tape cartridge comprising a base plate and a cover fixed to the base plate to define a closed space housing first and second hubs, first and second tape guides, a drive roller and first and second corner rollers all of which are mounted on the base plate. A magnetic tape is unwound from one of the first and second hubs, guided by the first and second tape guides and wound on the other hub. The drive roller is located between the first and second tape guides for driving a drive belt looped on its tape winding surface. The drive belt is also looped on the tape winding surfaces of the first and second corner rollers. The first corner roller is located to hold the drive belt in contact with a peripheral surface of the first hub and the second corner roller is located to hold the drive belt in contact with a peripheral surface of the second hub. The first hub has its rotation axis spaced at a first distance with respect to the tape winding surface of the drive roller and at a second distance with respect to the tape winding surface of the first corner roller. The first distance is substantially equal to the second distance. The second hub has its rotation axis spaced at a third distance with respect to the tape winding surface of the drive roller and at a fourth distance with respect to the tape winding surface of the second corner roller. The third distance is substantially equal to the fourth distance.

摘要: A disk cartridge for data storage or the like includes a cartridge casing having a disk formed as a data storage medium rotatably mounted therein. The cartridge casing includes an opening defined therethrough for allowing access to the rotatable disk. A substantially U-shaped metallic shutter is slidably disposed on the cartridge casing to as to cover and uncover the access opening according to sliding movement thereof. The metallic shutter is formed by bending processing of a metallic plate material, such as aluminium to form a substantially U-shaped shutter body having a display surface portion defined on an outer side thereof. The display portion is formed by pressing and deforming a selected area of the outer side of the shutter body and forming thereon a matt display area having a surface roughness greater than other surface portions of the shutter body. The surface roughness of the display may be established having a surface roughness equal to or greater than 5 with a thickness thereof being equal to or less than 30% of the general thickness of the shutter body. Also, the display surface area may be formed as a design, logo, character or the like.
