Abstract: According to another example, a wearable medical device controller is provided. The device controller includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to determine a correlation between a phenomenon identifiable by the wearable medical device controller and at least one response pattern associated with a patient and store, responsive to detecting the correlation, an adaptation path to address the at least one response pattern, the adaptation path specifying an adaptation of at least one characteristic of an alarm. The at least one response pattern may include a plurality of response patterns and the adaptation path may reflect adaptations made to address at least some of the plurality of response patterns.

Abstract: According to at least one example, an ambulatory medical device is provided. The device includes a plurality of electrodes disposed at spaced apart positions about a patient's body and a control unit. The control unit includes a sensor interface, a memory and a processor. The sensor interface is coupled to the plurality of electrodes and configured to receive a first ECG signal from a first pairing of the plurality of electrodes and to receive a second ECG signal from a second pairing of the plurality of electrodes. The memory stores information indicating a preferred pairing, the preferred pairing being either the first pairing or the second pairing. The processor is coupled to the sensor interface and the memory and is configured to resolve conflicts between interpretations of first ECG signal and the second ECG signal in favor of the preferred pairing.

Abstract: A wearable defibrillator includes garment configured to be worn by a patient, treatment electrodes configured to apply electric current to the patient, and an alarm module configured to provide audio, visual, and haptic notifications. The notifications are configured to indicate that an electric current will be administered imminently, and prompt the patient to provide a response input. The wearable defibrillator includes a motion sensor configured to detect motion and a lack of motion of the patient, and a controller in electrical communication with the alarm module and the motion sensor. The controller is configured to monitor for the response input, cause administration of the electric current to be delayed or cancelled if the response input is received and motion of the patient is detected, and cause administration of the electric current to be delivered if no response input from the patient is received and a lack of motion is detected.

Abstract: A non-invasive medical device includes a garment; at least one therapy electrode and a plurality of ECG sensing electrodes disposed in the garment; a memory storing ECG information of the patient; a therapy delivery interface; and at least one processor configured to identify, within the ECG information, at least one cardiac arrhythmia condition; determine at least one pacing routine corresponding to the detected cardiac arrhythmia condition; cause the therapy delivery interface to execute the at least one pacing routine by delivering a first pacing pulse; determine, subsequent to the first pacing pulse, that a first interval has passed without detection of an intrinsic heartbeat, and in response, cause the therapy delivery interface to continue executing the at least one pacing routine by delivering a second pacing pulse; and responsive to determining that the intrinsic heartbeat is detected within the first interval, suspend execution of the at least one pacing routine.

Abstract: An arrhythmia monitoring device includes a plurality of pairs of ECG sensing electrodes disposed in a garment configured to be worn about a torso of a patient, and signal acquisition circuit configured to be electrically coupled to the plurality pairs of ECG sensing electrodes. The device includes a processor in communication with the signal acquisition circuit configured to execute a selection process comprising identifying a quality of each of a plurality of ECG signals, ranking the signals based on the identified quality, and selecting at least two ECG signals to monitor having highest quality. The processor is configured to re-execute the selection process following an event including at least one of the garment shifting on the torso, the garment being repositioned on the torso, and the garment being removed and returned to the torso of the patient, and monitor the selected at least two ECG signals for a cardiac arrhythmia.
