    摘要: A system for automating data partitioning in a parallel database includes plural nodes connected in parallel. Each node includes a database server and two databases connected thereto. Each database server includes a query optimizer. Moreover, a partitioning advisor communicates with the database server and the query optimizer. The query optimizer and the partitioning advisor include a program for recommending and evaluating data table partitions that are useful for processing a workload of query statements. The data table partitions are recommended and evaluated without requiring the data tables to be physically repartitioned.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for managing data transmission performed in a radio network controller during UE handover procedure. The method is performed in a RNC having a distributed architecture, and comprises the following steps: acquiring a handover request transmitted by UE from a first ATM interface board, by one of the plurality of radio signaling management boards; creating mapping between one of the plurality of data transmission management boards and a second ATM interface board, by the radio signaling management board, said data transmission management board having mapping to the first ATM interface board before handover; and informing UE of performing data transmission between the data transmission management board and the second ATM interface board, by the radio signaling management board. When UE executes handover between two cells dominated by the same RNC, the method avoids frequent shifting of data of the same UE between different data transmission management boards, thereby decreasing the load in the procedure of transmitting and handling of system signaling, improving effective handling capability of the system, and additionally reducing the probability of losing data packets of the system.

    摘要: A rapid response relative humidity sensor based on nano-structured aluminum oxide thin film is disclosed. The main body of the sensor is an anodic aluminum oxide thin film of about 2-20 μm thick formed from an Al substrate which serves as one electrode. A porous metal layer of about 20-200 nm thick is formed over the anodic aluminum oxide thin film and functions as a second electrode. The alumina thin film contains nano-sized channels of about 10-100 nm in diameter, serving as a capacitive relative humidity sensor having high sensitivity and short response time. Thermal annealing at elevated temperature improves the linearity of the capacitance versus humidity curve, giving a full range humidity sensing range. Hysteresis and degradation are negligible for the humidity sensors.
