A rotatable crossflow blower is disposed eccentrically in the substantially semicylindrical section; and a flat partition is disposed in the channel and defines with the blower circumference a gap of about one-twentieth the blower diameter and partitions the channel into entry and exit portions. A heating device may be mounted on the partition, and the entry portion of the channel may open sideways of the housing.

    摘要： A selector switch is furnished for each of a plurality of slide projectors. The switch may be closed either manually or through a corresponding feeler operating in conjunction with a punched tape. This causes the selective slide projectors to be set for a slide change. A control signal then causes all selected slide projectors to change slides simultaneously. A synchronizing system is furnished for synchronizing the transport of the tape to the end of the control signal for an automatically controlled slide show.

    摘要： The housing of a still camera comprises a body whose front wall carries the lens mount, shutter release trigger and certain other components and which further defines one or more chambers for one or more film magazines. A frame of the body is pivotally connected with a front cover which can be moved to closed position to overlie the front wall and a rear cover which can be moved to a closed position to overlie and to seal the chamber or chambers. Both covers are hingedly connected to a bottom portion of the frame and each thereof can be releasably coupled to the body in closed position. The front cover can be locked in open position in which it permits the operator to use the camera and this front cover can be completely separated from the body to afford access to a socket by means of which the body is connectable to a tripod.

    摘要： The reciprocable cutter of a dry shaver has substantially semicircular blades whose convex outer surfaces are adjacent to the inner side of the comb foil and whose side surfaces are provided with strips of diamond dust, sapphire dust or other finely comminuted granular material having a hardness which is considerably higher than the hardness of the ferrous or synthetic plastic material of the blades. The width of such strips is in the range of 1 millimeter and the granulae impart to the adjoining cutting edges of the blades an irregular (substantially undulate) shape to insure more reliable engagement between the cutting edges and the whiskers or hairs which penetrate through the apertures of the foil into the range of reciprocating blades. The outer surfaces of the blades are polished to a high degree of smoothness subsequent to application of granulae.

    摘要： A quick response paramagnetic oxygen analyzer wherein analysis and reference gas are passed through a gap space in a periodically excited ferromagnetic circuit affording a homogeneous or uniform zone and an inhomogeneous or nonuniform zone of the magnetic field. Intermixing and diffusion of the gases can occur only in homogeneous zone and in an exit conduit. A pressure difference detector for the analysis and reference gases at their entrance into the inhomogeneous zone measures relative susceptibilities and hence oxygen content of the two gases.
