摘要: The present invention provides a calibration method and circuit for outputting an average calibration value used in an image-capture apparatus. The calibration circuit comprises difference means accepting a plurality of digital signals from capturing a pixel of a calibration chart. The difference means is for operating each digital signal with subtracting a base value, and whereby filters any aberrant digital signal. Divider means accepts the digital signals for operating each digital signal with dividing a number of scanned times, and whereby prevents an operation of any signal from overflowing. Direct average means accepts the digital signals for summing the digital signals and then divides the number of scanned times, and whereby speeds a calibration operation.

摘要: A method for differentiating dynamic range of image is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps. First of all, pixel numbers with the same level value of Density units D.sub.n−1 and D.sub.n are compared. Next the minimum pixel numbers of each level value of Density units D.sub.n−1 and D.sub.n are counted. Then the minimum pixel numbers of each level value of Density units D.sub.n−1 and D.sub.n are summed. Next the ratio of total minimum pixel number and total pixel number R and a specification value R.sub.s are compared. Then whether R is smaller than R.sub.s or not is determined so as to recognize whether Density units D.sub.n−1 and D.sub.n could be differentiated or not.

摘要: Embodiments of the claimed subject matter comprise a movable locking device for a scanner. In one embodiment, the movable locking device is used to affix a moving mechanical part inside a scanner, such as inside an optical chassis of the scanner. In this embodiment, the scanner comprises a platform, a lifting cover and a hinge set. The scanner uses the hinge set to allow the lifting cover to rotate relatively to the platform. The locking device includes a movable structure member and a buckling groove, in which the movable structure member includes a stopping piece and a holding rod used as the axis of rotation of the hinge set.

摘要: A chassis locking apparatus capable of being unlocked spontaneously is used for fixing the chassis in a scanner. The locking apparatus includes a groove interlinking next to the electric socket, a push rod in the groove, and a revolving locking element. By means of the strength of inserting the plug into the socket on the scanner, the push rod is pushed to move along the groove and hit the locking element, which is originally fixed on the chassis, to make the locking element rotate so that the chassis locking apparatus can be unlocked spontaneously. Therefore, no effort is necessary for a user to unlock the chassis locking apparatus by hand before using the scanner, which is convenient and timesaving.

摘要: A CMOS light sensor and the operation method thereof are disclosed. The CMOS light sensor has a plurality of light sensing lines and a plurality of capacitor lines. Each light sensing line has a plurality of light sensors such that the number of capacitors in each capacitor line is smaller than the number of light sensing cells in each light sensing line. The capacitors are used for holding a portion of the potentials produced by the light sensing cells due to illumination. The method of operating the CMOS light sensor includes transferring the data captured by the light sensing line to the capacitor line and reading out the data according to a pre-defined order so that the leakage of charges from the capacitor is reduced.

摘要: A compensation apparatus for image scan, applied to an optical scanner with a platform, on which an object to be scanned is disposed. The optical scanner has a photosensitive apparatus with a set of scan photosensitive devices and a storage apparatus. When the object is scanned by the set of scan photosensitive devices, a scanned image is obtained and saved in the storage apparatus temporarily. The compensation apparatus has a set of calibration boards, a set of calibration photosensitive devices and an image processor. The set of calibration boards has two calibration boards located at two sides of the platform. The set of calibration photosensitive devices is located at two sides of the set of scan photosensitive device. The image processor is used to extract and compare the calibrated image, so as to adjust the scanned image.

The utilization of the present invention will automatically drive the driver of the scanner and integrate the relative information into the driver. Thus, after the scanned image is acquired, the application, or relative application of the file, is automatically active to treat the scanned image. Further, the format of the scanned image could be transformed by some applications such as the OCR.

The automatic scanning parameter setting device is a scanner that automatically sets the scanning parameters of a plurality of scan images so that scanning can be conducted in batches. The automatic scanning parameter setting device includes an image input device, an analysis device and a control unit. The image input device is attached to the scanner for inputting a plurality of scan images. A portion of the scan images contains a set parameter format. The set parameter format contains a plurality of scanning parameter values. The analysis device performs an analysis of the scan images containing recorded scan parameter values. The control unit uses the analyzed scanning parameter values to conduct a scanning parameter setting operation on the scan images having recorded scanning parameter values as well as the ordered scan images after the scan images with recorded scan parameter values but without recorded scan parameter values.

摘要: A document holding fixture for a vertical optical scanner. The fixture has a main body, a transparent panel, four linking bars, a document cover panel, and a document backing plate. The document holding fixture uses a simple four linking bar system to maintain a constant parallelism between the document cover panel and the surface of the transparent panel. Weight of the document cover panel provides necessary pressure to press a scan document firmly onto the glass surface of the transparent panel. To facilitate single hand document insertion, a stationing device is used to freeze the document cover panel when the panel reaches a horizontal position.
